1. Plan out your ideal week, use SMART goals 2. Most time management problems are actually energy management issues. Guard your energy! Feel good! Calendar blocking lets you feel up your day around those concrete blocks W/ energising stuff, coffee W/ friends...ask yourself... How can I build energy? 3. The adventure habit. Ask yourself... What is the most important task or adventure I have to do today? + 3 side quests... 4.minimise task switching to be more intentional, but welcome welcoming distractions... Part of the adventure habit will let you know which distractions to welcome and push away. 5. Rapid action habit... When we hear new information without action, we don't retain that information. So bias towards action 6. Experimental action: treat your different passions with this notion that it is an experiment...discipline carries that vibe that you have to do it... Rather than seeing it as an opportunity to experiment!
@visibleaesthetics7343 Жыл бұрын
7. Reflection: weekly, monthly, are you aligned with your goals. 8. Delegation habit: what can you cut out of your life.. or no longer is part of your lifestyle... Is there anything you would rather someone else do?

The bit about welcome distractions was especially delightful :) There are times where I would deliberately sit in my living room to get work done just so I could be distracted occasionally by my housemates. Feels nice :)

Hey Ali, I discovered you a couple weeks ago and after watching handful of your videos I just wanna say this. I've never met anyone who can speak so much information so clearly, so straightforward, and super smooth to digest in even if you are talking in an insane speed. I don't know if you specifically took speech training or it's a talent supported with tons of reading - but however you do this you are crashing it! I rarely watch KZbin videos over 5-10 mins, but when you talk I am always amazed how I ended up watching till the end without noticing how the time passed. Thanks a lot for being in youtube, for doing what you do in a high level, and I'll confess , to me social media is a big fat fake lives, you are an exception, because you way of talking, skills and hard work on putting all this information together with your team and delivering it in such attractive way make me go like "He is definitely doing something right, so I'm gonna listen to him". Also, your style of promoting things: Well, I strongly dislike this whole affiliate promotion because nowadays, it's so easy to be an affiliate that everyone is an affiliate so nobody ends up earning anything (specifically smaller accounts); however, either its your own book or another product you promote, your way of casually mentioning and giving brief information which is relatable as well, instead of exaggerating, kinda makes things don't look like an ad. You are really good at this, there is a lot to learn from you.

If you're in a committed relationship - does each partner do their own stuff and then have 'joint' goals? I'm curious since I do this but my partner sometimes doesn't and would love if he would. Curious about your thoughts. Thanks!

I think it would be a good idea to link research articles that you quote from. I was trying to look up the study on task switching and only found one from 2001 from said authors. I'd be super curious to find out how that might have changed in the past 22 years because obviously, our lifes are so different now.
