Ian Flynn was actually originally planning to bring Hyper Sonic back in the final boss! ...But the idea was scrapped by Sega, unfortunately :( According to him, he was bringing up valid arguments of why it would've been awesome and perfect, but it was still turned down... 😔 Let's see what they have cooking for Update 3 tho! 🙏🍳

Honestly going forward, there's no reason why Super Sonic boss fights should go back to the boring; Chase thing, hit thing back boss fights that he's pretty much only ever been in, Even in Unleash's case they were quick time events with zero substance still.

Sorry I will have to disagree with you about unleashed while the second half of the fight was qtes it was really fun and honestly one of my favourite boss fights...

@@ggtragicsansbro6495 stiil tho, there was no substance in previous super sonic fights. Even the best ones like Unleashed were simply boost into enemy's weak point with super sonic's invincible body. The music and scale were what carried previous Super Sonic boss fights. Even base sonic boss fights had more going for them in terms of gameplay mechanics.

i’m glad the chaos emeralds plays a valid and noticeable role in this game they been under shadowed for a while now but frontiers really brought this out and super sonic also is important to the story

I think one thing that would make all these Mods better is when Modders figure out how to change the effects and the colours so it's not limited to the regular Super Sonic aura since it's an alright aura but it doesn't work for forms like Dark Sonic or Cyber Corruption Super Sonic since you would expect some red or maybe a glitch texture effect for his aura but as the game hasn't been out long I can't wait to see what Modders can do in the future

Hyper Sonic should be an unlockable for getting an S rank in every Cyberspace mission (since not completing them doesn't stop you from getting a 100% completion in the entire game) and completing the game on hard mode

I really thought that they were going to bring Hyper Sonic back in Frontiers, seeing how the Titans basically wrecked Sonic in his normal form, and the game constantly hyping up The End as the entity that defeated the Ancients, I thought surely they could have Hyper Sonic be necessary to defeat such a colossal threat, but then The End was nothing special, a shame since the Titans are easily some of the best bosses of the entire series. I'm still holding out hope that the DLC brings Hyper Sonic back for real, that form needs to return.

my way of seeing it is he was enraged at how much trouble his friends were put in by sage and the titans and instead of going super the chaos emeralds blackened thus causing him to go dark sonic but there was still that shred of light in his heart telling him he could still save his friends like he always has in the past and thats what caused the golden aura of standard super sonic to shine thru, as a means of sonic sturggling to overcome his dark form

Honestly, there was no reason not to make the final boss have Hyper Sonic. The souls of the Titan pilots upgrade the Chaos Emeralds to Super Emeralds to give Sonic and Sage the power to destroy their ancient enemy. What they couldn’t do before, Sonic could now. How epic that would be after the Moon, The End’s core would be at the center where Hyper Sonic has another Titan boss combining all the powers of the previous ones. Or even better, it takes on Sonic’s form, based on its observations of him in Cyber Space. A fight like Asura vs Akuma.

I would’ve loved it if they SEGA made the fully Cyber-corrupted Sonic as a new Hyper Sonic or turned him into the final boss before the true final boss where we played as Sage to cure the corruption. But I like what we got in the game (except that final boss)…

Seeing the Possibilities and what was done this game (AND I KNOW this will sound controversial), I want to see that Super Sonic Becomes an Active Detriment the next game. I think It would be Really Interesting that moving forward Sonic has to Fight bigger and tougher Opponent's that even super sonic has to struggle to Overcome, Due to the teamwork of both Sage and Eggman and any Ancient's technology. These fights are cool and it being a race against the Clock is cool, but Not being able to Take Any damage (even if super sonic is supposed to be Invincible/Unbeatable from a lore Standpoint) I feel just makes Boss Fight's Less Interesting Especally When the timer problem can be dealt with better by just collecting a LOT of rings beforehand. I want to Feel the Power of super sonic while Being Given An Intense, Muscle Clenching Challenge. Oh yeah. My favorite Was Excaliber Super sonic. Just gonna throw that out there since it is sorta the video topic.

Ey im happy that super sonic actually plays an important role in this game. Unlike the previous few games (take sonic forces for example) you can barely even play super sonic. Plus most players that played forces don’t even know he exists in that game since it was a free limited DLC. But you wouldn’t use it much anyways since you can’t use him on first clears or bosses.
