@ap276011 ай бұрын
I noticed putting the microphone over the subject pointing down, helps reduce echo because the sound being captured is not bouncing off the ceiling but dampened by the subject or a rug/carpeting on the floor.
@unnamed67163 жыл бұрын
if the wind produce low noise kinda like rumble, it is possible to remove those frequencies in post. But ofc it's allways the best to get the best sound you can on set.

Interesting thought about placing lapel mic as close as possible. A few pro sound engineers I’ve seen talk about this say you want it closer to mid chest to avoid increasing Sibilance

*I LOVE CATS AND KITTENS 🐈 !!* It was absolutely not necessary to mention in your video that you hate cats. It WILL impact your views. Your most important video on the importance of Audio has fewer views. By the way, adding Chapter timestamps in the Description box would get you more SEO and views

Wow. Part it's a great reminder, from previous videos, but this is a tiny percentage, and rest is very helpful, even I don't know how , ot just don't understand. I just learned that sometimes u can spend $/£/€ 300 on microphone, and 50 for dead cat, and have windy audio, and sometimes when you do opposite , u will get less windy audio. Wow. Maybe I should buy whole teachings !

Hmm you get better lav audio by moving it down to the chest, instead of taping it right under the chin (since the chin will otherwise shade the higher frequencies).

19:30 you said bit rate, but you meant resolution or bit depth. On the contrary bit rate and frequency are the same quantities. At 21:30 mean digital recording levels for broadcasting are standardized to -18 or -20 dB depending on the country.

where can I watch a film that you guys made, in which I can observe where you apply your teachings to?
@robertochaves45352 жыл бұрын
The reason Netflix will change the video quality first is because the bitrate difference between video and audio is huge. There is very little to gain by reducing the audio bitrate (which is about 640 Kbps = 0,08Mb/s) compared to 4K video which has around 25-40Mb/s. So just changing from 4K to 1080p you get it down to around 6Mb/s, the audio part is not even a rounding error in comparison.

Really really great and helpful video! didn't know many of these tips! One question: if I record the audio in -12 db, what I'm looking for in the edit for the final audio db? So I mean where should be the audio levels at maximum for the export? 0db is peaking and -12db sounds very quiet e.g. youtube? I edited all of my videos around 6db is that okay? or what is the industries standard

Hello, Justus sir. I have 2 questions. I went to the website and opened the page where we pay 1) it asks for PayPal and credit card I don't have PayPal or credit card, can I pay from a debit card, if yes there is no option for the debit card so how to pay 2) It asks for a postal address I thought this was online pre-recorded video classes, is it CD or something. do we get classes in CD sent by post? If yes then how do we get future classes as it is said in the website video? Kindly reply to me before the offer expires

Mostly great. Thank you, but a big Nope on mic direction. You want to point the mic towards the top of the breast plate or you won't get diaphragm low spectrum, then you'll have to boost your bass or lo-pass filter or gain artificially to sound fuller/bassier - the way that you're doing on that USB mic. Roughly, halfway between the Adam's apple and the start of Cleavage is the sweet spot. Yes i mixed sexes.
