Probably not. It's a universal thing that car companies and licensing don't like seeing their cars smashed to hell, which is super dumb. Dirt 2 had a pretty impressive crash model, Dirt 3 was a bit less so, and Showdown had fake cars so they could do more damage to them.

This game´s AI seems to suffer the same syndrome FH series does, the AI simply ignore your existence on track, they seem to not even see you there when they turn or pick the brakepoints...

It is a big joke to put the handling team from DIRT Rally 2.0 onto this game development. Both DR 1 and 2.0 are notorious for horrible handling physics on tarmac. Also, these guys are not done yet with fixing the handling in DIRT Rally 2.0, so Codemasters: MOVE THEM BACK ASAP! 😈

I will watch the youtube reviews and see how this game looks and plays for the PC after they release it. I have both Grid Autosport and Grid 2 so interested to see the new Grid 2019 game improvements. As usual, pretty sure initial cost for the PC steam version will be pretty high to start out with. And no VR support either for these type of games(I wasnt expected it to have it). Thanks for the initial video.

Is this a reboot or remaster/remake? From what I’ve seen of the game so far all of the tracks are ones that appeared in previous Grid games. If there are no brand new tracks then to me that’s a “remaster”.

Having the DiRT Rally 2.0 handling team work on this, a tarmac racing game, isn't something to brag about as DiRT Rally and DiRT Rally 2.0s tarmac handling and FFB has been universally criticised as being numb and lacking in FFB detail. My concern with this game, form the footage we have seen so far, is that it will be too much like previous GRiD games in terms of handling. Yes, I know that's the point, but GRiD has always had a very inaccurate, sloppy arcade felling to the handling. I wish they'd modernise it a little to make it more like, say Driveclub, where it's an arcade feel that's easy to pick up for beginners, but realistic and accurate in the way the cars behave and respond to inputs. This just looks sloppy

pretty much my thoughts. With that said, im not sure the dirt handling team are stupid or could never do tarmac, but the way theyve setup dirt or maybe the entire engine, is that tarmac is just a sticky version of dirt in behavior, making it feel numb, as the game doesnt want to change between 2 wildly different phyisics behaviours (even though it should). This is all just speculation however, the game based on this footage doesnt look amazing handlingwise.

The OG Grid was a thing of its own, imo one of the best racers of the last generation (PS3/XB360). Super hard to master and with an unrivaled sense of speed, Race Driver : GRID was an absolute masterpiece. Well polished and with a deep career mode.

@@ZuneGuy1118 Yeah yeah I know, it's not a pure sim, but you have to admit it has some pretty nice features considering its target audience : the chassis physics are very well made, same for the suspension model. Tire model is definitely more arcade and the gearbox simulation is terrible (R3E rules in this). But the thing I've enjoyed the most in past GT's was the driving license system : so hard to get all golds, but so nice to complete. It's the only game who made me excited for prize cars.
