I added side mirrors by chupacabra down low on the pillar ( install upside down ). I installed a ball mount center of dash for the magellan trx w/ 6” arm from Ram mount puts the screen closer to view, I love that I can see tight turns before hitting them! I have no complaints with this car over 7000 miles and no break down other than limp mode like 3 times. Our rides push 100 mile distances on the west cost desert & mountain range. I find the gear selector digs me in the side of the leg when in low or high & needs to be bent up straight or moved to the centreline of the console. The 4 point retractable harness's retract when worn & ride up your belly so I made a 5th point loop strap to hold them in place. The brake light switch is slow to operate & cuts power via the ECU if you go quickly from brakes on to power on or try to bring up the revs with your foot on the brake which is a big issue when your on a gnarly rock climb and lose traction half way up & try to restart your climb. I fixed that issue by disconnecting the hydraulic brake switch wiring plug up on top of the steering column area. I had to have the ECU reflashed as the winch would cut out when pulling in if the battery voltage dropped below 12 volts which with the tiny battery they come with was every time I used the winch, fixed now. Two tires slow leaked from either the bead or through a porous cast alloy rim, I painted the welded seam in the rim, smoothed the sealing beads on the tire & used TECH 735 bead seal on the surfaces, torqued the beadlock to spec & I still have one with a very slow leak now. Still far better than my old POLARIS RZR1000XP.

I did notice the brake switch lag when I installed the chase bar. Luckily all my tires are holding air…for now atleast
@dustyfarmer2 жыл бұрын
@@JakeAlexander I found the slow leak low tire pressure issue a big deal when power sliding from left to right if you just jump in & go for a ride & don't check it prior. Only one or two P.S.I and they dig in or slide. That brake lag is 100% slow action on the switch & ECU. It can be deadly when driving in the bush, it's a major fault.. Disconnect it and fix it. You rarely need brake lights but you do need 100% instant throttle response every time you step on the accelerator pedal

Thanks for the video. The gripes arent minor all the issues are relevant. Missed a bunch though. Here goes - terrible maintence access. Oil filter , putting oil in and air filter all the most ridiculous spots for quick maintence. Kawasaki although less horsepower has all these components super easy to access and even a window to see how dirty your oil is. The stock roof is 500 bucks for the cheapest roof you can imagine Ive had milk cartons thicker. Kawasaki thick fiberglass with sunroof , Polaris nice metal roof strong not flimsy like the can am. Small stock tires,horrible squeaks the worse of all utv's. 1st day riding is my x3 it had more squeaks than years of driving both my kawi and polaris. Getting in and out is a complete nightmare. So many body panels thin cheap black plastic. Headlights small and dim. No running lights where as the Kawi and Polaris have them. The doors or lack there of is laughable. no outside door handle but a stupid inside pull cord that belongs on your winch hook.Blind spots everywhere terrible vision. For off roading poor seating posistion we are not riding in a corvette rock crawling is a joke with the vision no idea where your placement is for the tires. I could go on forever but for over 20k BRP really cheaped out on so much of this ride its disgusting. Plastic firewall good luck to the poor bastard that r\has a stick or branch go thru into your family jewels. Kawi has metal its called protection. I had a 2020 polaris for over 1k and a kawi 2021 for 1k both are better build quality, doors, roof, seating posistion, maintenece although the polaris oil filter is a joke for on its removal it it blocked by the frame so its a pain to wiggle out.. Sadly the kawi was the best fit and quality, thicker arms and bigger tranny. full doors and its not hollow thin shell of nothing its an actual door. comfort durability and maintanence is superior. Only sxs I cant speak upon is the Honda which i am sure is more reliable than them all. if you are a fan by and just desert run get a can am for everyone else pass on this POS.

I had similar thoughts on my reviews of my 2022 base DS turbo 64” . I absolutely love the thing but visibility for technical riding is bad and unfortunately I didn’t get the PDrive on the 120 (more like 130hp) unit. It got all the other upgrades except that. The 23 base models get the PDrive now . The clutch noise drives me crazy it’s so loud at 5100-5300 rpm . I’m probably going to have a camera and screen put in mine because when we have a big snack bag and large ice chest in the back you ain’t seeing jack ****. Overall it’s an amazing SxS and that stuff is easily over looked , they just really should address the issues soon. * Also the factory brake pads are horribly squeaky .
