I love my baby, and I’ve been told by many people that he’s adorable. That whole “having a face that only a mother could love” is nonsense.

@@HeilielPrince I have a hairy hairless girl. I've only had her a short time and she's already becoming a local celebrity! Everyone just loves her and tells be how beautiful she is. Not to mention, no one can resist their personalities! 😍

6 & 8 are the only ones I can relate to. The rest are untrue, partially true, or unnecessary. I would advise against using sunscreen unless they have pink skin on their back or face or using moisturizing lotion on them. It clogs their pores and tends to make them break out in pimples. A bath twice a week keeps the break outs to a minimum. A hairless crested with proper furnishings does not resemble lint. Mine has proper, fluffy furnishings, but some very hairless CC's would pose this issue. Just like any other dog, they cannot sweat. Many people think my Hairless boy is adorable. While it is true that CC's are prone to wool allergies, most are not allergic to wool. My boy does not have a wool allergy and I enjoy knitting 100% wool sweaters for him, preferably alpaca or merino. Expensive yarns, but warm and soft. I do get a lot of people ask something along the lines of "What on Earth is that thing?". He is my shadow. We go out somewhere and he practically glues himself to my leg or my other dog's side and he hates being by himself. But, the females tend to be more outgoing and less sticky. The boys tend to be very affectionate.

I have used coconut oil if my boys skin seems dry, but its not a daily routine. And I use burts bees shampoo and conditioner which seems to do great for his skin. He also has a UV protective shirt for the summer and a cooling vest which does well to protect him. I've only put a spray based pet safe sunscreen on him if he wasn't covered myself. (though most the time he is covered with the UV shirt or cooling vest during warm months) I and my roommate have experienced my CC sweating mostly down his back so I have to disagree with the statement that they (CCs specifically) can't.
@skyeiron58725 жыл бұрын
@@HeilielPrince Well, mine has never sweated neither has any of the breeders dogs. Though I will slightly amend my statement. All dogs do sweat, but their sweat glands are only in their paw pads and is not their main cooling system. They don't sweat anywhere else.

The powder puff versions don't sweat bit the hairless actually have sweat glands

This breed is very special. Ours was half cat for sure 😆 It had the tiniest little head, it's brain must have literally been the size of a walnut, but somehow it was sharp as a whip. Really nuanced emotions and behaviour. A lot of emotional range, very vocal, had all sorts of noises for every imaginable occasion. Food obsessed like no other dog you've ever seen, if you gave it an endless food supply she would literally just explode. She had a bad attitude, constantly annoyed, would attack me all the time. But then run back to her 'rock' (basically just a big cushion) and just stand there with so much excitement with her little tail wagging waiting for me to come and give her pets. Then when I came over she would pretend to be really angry and pretend bite me. They have the most adorable little bodies, this and the feel of their skin, just make them irresistible - you just want to play with them and touch them and tease them and give them treats all the time. They're amazing cuddle bunnies as well - in fact I think they were partly bred for this (keeping sailors warm or something is what I heard 🤷♂️)

6 and 8 are very relatable. One thing I want to point out though, sunscreen should be used sparingly and only on light skinned dogs. It clogs the pores and causes blackheads. If they're going to the beach, or something, then they do need sunscreen, but otherwise a lightweight t-shirt is best. And clothes should only be put on them to protect them from the sun and the cold because clothes can also cause blackheads, just not as badly as sunscreen. And, only some of them are allergic to wool. The rest of the video really isn't accurate at all, though.
