We often approach Stoicism and Stoic philosophy with an aim to understand what we can do to live a happier and more resilient lives. However we don't generally look to the teachings of the Stoics (like Marcus Aurelius, Seneca and Epictetus) to find out things we shouldn't be doing.
This video is an explanation of what Stoics don't do and how we can reflect Stoicism in our own daily lives.

The more I listen to Stoic Philosophy. I learned how to incorporate my thoughts in MIND,BODY And SPIRIT, with a more Profound Understanding and Meaningful Contributions. That Stoic Philosophy has to offer. To myself and others, And all living creatures. I truly believe that fear is a Paper Tiger. Stoic has confirmed that for me.

perhaps younger people mistake what we can and cannot control with having no emotion or controlling emotion. This blocks the natural flow of life, or Eudamania. Emotion, in its raw form, is a visceral reaction to an external stimulus. We can temper the reaction, how we think about the external event, to agree or disagree with it. How we think affects how we feel. But to not feel emotion would be robotic, not human, natural, and disengaged with the flow of life. Once we accept emotion is a natural reaction to stimuli, our bodies reaction, and we cannot fully control our body, then good emotion, bad emotion, becomes and indifferent. We can only affect our feelings by changing how we think. But we will never have full control of ourself until we are no longer human, in a coma, or brain dead.

stoics acknowledge there are things we can control and things we cannot. We cannot control our bodies, as such we cannot control our bodies reactions, further we cannot control our emotions initially nor is it wise to do so, further still we can try to temper our thoughts about our emotions, which are only natural to have; As such, it is wise to accept our natural reactions and impressions initially, but excessive thought, irrational thinking, can push the reactions to our assent or dissent further than is the natural reaction, the immediate physical response. If a person startles me, it is only natural to feel anger, at first, this is a human response; however it is the thinking that follows that will calm the individual if virtuous, or perpetuate the anger out of control if the thinking is irrational. Emotions are natural reactions. How much we react is within our control, how we think about it affects how we feel. But the initial impression is our true nature, reflexive, and beneficial for survival; dont get carrie away thereafter.
