My servo couple called my primary household asking if they should try for a baby. I said yes, thinking that was a little naive of them, but then later in manage households I saw they had biological human twins.

@@donaldmoore8000 Sims that have a positive relationship with your active Sim can call to ask if they should befriend someone, date someone, try for a promotion, or try for a baby. If you choose to answer "yes" to any of those, it affects the game. Looks like the devs just forgot to exempt servos from the last option and instead they were affected as if they were human Sims.

@@madam_mim Yep. Also, I had the servos change into festival clothing at a festival (another oversight), which shows what the servo sims look like under the servo "outfit" without having to turn them human with cheats. The kids definitely look like they're the servos' genetic offspring.

4:52 If you have Get to Work, you can do the same without cheating, by opening up a retail store that sells robots, so your Sims can buy them indefinitely.

Another way to get the components (if one doesn't mind cheating) is turn cheats on and shift+click robotics station that will give you a bunch of not just the two hard to make ones, but also stacks of other upgrade components.

I've had Discover University for a while but only just recently made a sim who actually studied robotics. I'll probably build a servo the next time I play and try this stuff out. thanks 😁

With the collage pack, you can also "take" the Bots Savants Club bots and dismantle them for parts to create your own servo!

Yeah I’ve seen a similar thing occur too. The servo just stopped in the middle of the sidewalk.

When Servos come in contact with water (swimming, showering or rain) they lose durability fast, though. So it probably was because of the rain. They can protect themselves however, with an umbrella.

Great tip Petey! The servo pregnant with alien baby is super weird. LOL BTW. My servo has a glitch from having electronic lifestyle that he is permanently inspired. I wish the EA would fix this.

@@saipirunc.6261 Neither a bug or a glitch, it's a feature from that lifestyle, if you see, it comes with a moodlet called "I'm the future" so the Servo is inspired all the time because he is aware that he is the proper techology that he loves. Of you don't want it you can always get rid of that lifestyle.

That's a really cool work around for getting the pieces you need! I usually go download a servo from the gallery. Somewhat related: be aware that the robo arm for your engineering sims is glitched! It won't come off. So if you see a sim with it in the gallery in a servo household, know what you're getting into

I had my servo go to college. He wasnt wearing a black robe in the graduation ceremony. Also, the graduation picture is a potrait of somebody else.

That graduation picture glitch happened to me as well. It overrides the servo look with the graduation outfit, exposing their "human" form, for some reason.

For the last tip, have testingcheats on, and just shift click the robotics table and "spawn crafting supplies" wit the sim you want to have the parts selected

Weirdly enough, Servos will do a NYE toast with a drink, even though they don't drink otherwise. I guess it's a dev oversight.

If you REALLY want mechanisms or computer chips, and are willing to cheat. With "testingcheats on" you can shift-click the workstation itself and a button to add a bunch of mechanisms and chips into your inventory appears.

This seems like such a missed opportunity for EA. Imagine being able to build your own Terminator (probably just the basic T-800 to keep things simple but still). I totally would pay a little extra for that.

After my sims woohoo’d in the shower I could see their human selves for a brief moment (I captured the screen shots). They had lazer eyes but the rest were human. The female sim got pregnant and she gave birth to a human sim with the same colour as her human version. If it’s a glitch, I love it! Edited to add that she had their baby at the hospital.

You can clone servos on the cloning machine. There is a chance they will be evil clone as well.

Servos are a lot of fun! Anyone know a reliable way to electrocute one? I was hoping the generator from eco lifestyle would eliminate his need to recharge, but my robot can hit that button a hundred times and not get shocked

I don't know if this works, but one of the science tables (I believe the chemistry one) from Get to Work has an option for scientists to "Press the red button", that always electrocutes your Sim. Other than that, with progressing upgrades your Servo gets more power efficient anyway and recharges faster, so at some point there is no need for instant recharging.

I just found out if you have MCCC, even though you can't try for baby, if you have risky woohoo on, and set it so you have a chance of pregnancy doing it, a servo will definitely get you preggo... I had mine set to 2% and the very first woohoo my servo got me pregnant.. lol. I have no other mods.

May my Servo, Zip Zap, RIP. I loaded my game, it was a sunny mid-afternoon, all seemed well. My Vampire Jax was painting, as he does, when I heard it, something was broken. Nothing ever breaks, what's breaking? I found him outside, Zip Zap, having a catastrophic meltdown out on the sidewalk. NO! It's daylight, Jax can not go to him! I desperately try to get Zip Zap to repair himself but he is to far gone already. He dies. I don't save. I reload, I quickly pause and go to Zip Zap to get him to repair himself... unpause. It's to late. After watching generations go by togeather with his only constant companion, Jax is once again alone.

I've found you can't change their sexual preferences. I have 3 in one house. Two are attracted to each other, the other one just wants to be friends with both. I wanted to see if a male and female could woohoo a baby, but now I may opt for having the male have an alien, or move them to their own house and see if they can adopt. Servos love taking care of all the baby needs.
