Even as a local, it's always so interesting & fun to watch your videos! (especially when I never heard of a place before haha) Some other spots I can recommend for Apfelstrudel or Kaiserschmarrn (ooor in general as well): - Café Diglas - Café Engländer - Café Schopenhauer - Vollpension (for Buchteln!!) A 'hidden gem' for Austrian cuisine: "Fuchs-Steinklammer Heuriger & Weinbau" 🌞🍺🍽

My favorite döner is available at Berliner Döner (Zieglergasse 33A, 1070 Wien). It comes with their own sauce and freshly baked pita. They are open every day until midnight (even on Sundays!), and on Fridays and Saturdays until 1 AM. Besides the Apfelstrudel, let’s not forget about the Topfenstrudel (curd strudel) either! The best one I’ve had was in the city center at Gutenberg Café (Lugeck 7, 1010 Wien). It is served warm, with hot vanilla sauce 🤤Yummm!🤗 Oh, yes! I almost forgot to mention the Käseleberkäse Semmel, which you can order at the deli counter in every Spar and Billa supermarket.

Thanks for your videos! What are the best places to eat dumplings? I heard it’s one of the comfort foods in Vienna.
@idnwiw5 ай бұрын
which dumplings? There are at least 10 differnt kinds of traditional austrian dumplings
@KhyatiPuria5 ай бұрын
Every Gasthaus or Beisl has some dumplings (Knödel) in their menu. Sweet or savory.

Saying Gulasch is Austrian is kinda like saying Döner is German. Actually wrong but it has become its own thing in a different place. Also, if you wanna try Ferhat but don't want to wait in line, you should check out Cio's. It's right around the corner and offers the most similar experience (Yaprak-style kebab in the same kind of bread). Another few additions: Veal is the original for Schnitzel but would usually be reserved for occasions, I'd say turkey and pork are much more common in the average diet of an Austrian in general and you can probably get a good one in any old and kinda run down looking restaurant that doesn't have English menus right in front of the store. The same should be said about Käsekrainer and Würstelstände. The ones right inside and around the 1st district will be the most expensive Würschtler but not necessarily the best ones. There are a lot of good ones in the neighbouring districts, hard to miss. Just know, if you are paying more than 6€ for a Käsekrainer you are probably getting ripped off. My personal recommendation would be Hermann's but they serve Bosna, not Käsekrainer. Biggest pro tip at the end: However great the 1st district might look, as soon as you get hungry, I would advise you to leave it for a meal and come back for more sightseeing after your hard earned meal. The 1st is packed with restaurants reserved for super rich people and or tourists. The price markup you are paying is literally just for the location in the 1st. (Don't get too surprised tho if the people in the outer districts look at you grantig when you order a Schnitzel with an American accent, they will think who is showing the tourists the good stuff)

Kaesekrainer is the best.Then comes Bosna, two little spicy brats in a long roll with special bbq sauce and curry powder. Originates from a wurstelstand in Salzburg.

You will find a lot of dishes made from chicken, turkey and fish. Chicken Schnitzel, Turkey Schnitzel, Backhuhn, Paprikahuhn (a kind of chicken goulash), Steirischen Backhendlsalat, ... You're more likely to find seafood at Asian restaurants. Wellcome to Vienna 😊

Guys, once you had really interesting videos, like about the cost of living in Vienna, transportation there, real-estate in Vienna, where to live and how to live in Vienna, cost of having a child in Austria...and now it looks like most of your videos is about food...from your last 20 videos 9 is about the food! Really? There is now interesting topics about living in Vienna?
