Emma 09 I think it's because unlike Lexie where they (Shonda and her team) let her naturally do her thing and allow viewers to actually connect with her, Maggie is always given the spotlight where we're just supposed to like her. Why? I honestly don't know. Maggie feels like the bad combination of Lexie and Cristina who are both great characters on their own, not combined.

Emma 09 Yes you may. Not to mention there were so many instances where both Lexie and Maggie were immature but the Maggie ones always make me cringe bad. If you compared her first premiere to Lexie's, the way she acted was horribly unprofessional. I also know Lexie had introduced herself as her sister to Meredith while Maggie didn't, and then I guess that along with her personal issue with not getting the echo bottled up her feelings and then she just decided to act all snotty to Meredith who was simply doing her job on their chaotic case. Plus Owen was on the case too and she didn't get all pissy with him. The writers also chose to do the whole "Great childhood, but harsh adulthood." Concept on Maggie which was already done with Lexie and even in Season 14, I see little development with that with Maggie or at least a cycle where S11 and 13 she was particularly annoying and rude while Season 12 and 14 she's been more mellow and actually likable. I honestly think there was a magic the writers used to have down with Lexie but cannot recreate with Maggie because they're constantly trying to make her the best thing that ever happen to the show while recycling old content already done before.

You don't feel like that about Maggie because you're growing out of Grey's slowly. Like we all are. We all had fav characters and we bonded with them. They left or died and we didn't have the emotional strength to care about the newcomers anymore. Also, Maggie's actor is a bit over-acting. So is Amelia's actor. Which is why I couldn't for the life of me care about anyone after season 7-8 and I stopped watching after season 10-11.

The moment that always gets me is in 8x08 where she's with the writer patient and breaks down over the unfairness with the way the main character of the author's story ended up with the guy she ended up with as she (Lexie) knew knew deep down that she loved Mark, wanted to be with him, but couldn't bring herself to do it because anything could happen good or bad. Imagine if she did stay with them and she was in Mark's position and he was in hers when she died. Lexie wouldn't survive it. She was strong, but even she had limits too.
