Hey man, this is really great stuff. Thanks for sharing the detailed info. I've been flirting with the idea of making them for a while, but needed some good pointers like these to feel confident enough to start.

Thanks again. I'm shooting plastic but doing it for fishing gear and the part about venting is exactly what I was looking for.

great tips, really helping me out, although i am not making soft plastic moulds at the moment, I am making hard lures

I have a few of those in the queue as well, I think they are a bit harder than soft plastics for sure.

Holes for bolts seems like the way to go, but I hope you don't mind me sharing a tip for printing with keys. I learned scaling your negative keys 5-8% larger than your positive in your 3d software makes for a much better fit. Learned this from a friend who prints jointed action figurines.

Awesome thanks for sharing! If people want to use keys that is the way to go.

I'm pretty much doing the same thing. Sculpt is my goto. Now if they would get the big bottles back in stock.

THIS!! This is what I was looking for, was having issues with deformed injector ports and screw holes. Also I was printing on the longer side to cut down on print time. My question though is what are your resin/print settings? Having a few issues with sculpt. Thanks
@WMBayouLures Жыл бұрын
Best advice on settings is to go to Siraya.tech click support, click sculpt then download the settings for your printer. They are always pretty spot on for me.

I love you channel with all your tips and trix and good advice! Question, have you ever tried to mcast lead in your mold, ex jig heads? I have a Saturn, what wash do you recommend? The Siraya Tech you also recommend, you mention Sculpt, Tenacious and Build... When do you choose wich one to use , or do you mix them? Appreciate if you could comment the above :-)
@WMBayouLures2 жыл бұрын
I have not poured lead yet but I know a few people that have using Siraya Tech Sculpt Ultra (siraya.tech/collections/united-states/products/sculpt-ultra-white-1kg-by-siraya-tech). It has a higher HDT of around 420f/220c so it might be possible to pour lead if your mold was very thick. The people that I know have tried have only managed a couple of pours before the mold started to deform. They were pouring bullets though and the tolerances are pretty tight so it might work for smaller jig heads. If you are using Sculpt and/or Build resins it does not make a lot of sense to get a washing station since those resins can't be in alcohol for longer than 30 secs. The curing stations are nice to have though. I have an Anycubic Wash and Cure Plus - amzn.to/3JkYp2y I use the container it came in to wash my prints and only use the machine to cure with. You can get a complete run down of Sculpt in this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJW8nnueedB0Z7s
