How did I not find you until today? I went back and watched all of your videos. You are absolutely the most adorable, fashionable, informative, creative and “common sense” designer I’ve ever followed. Being a pianist and musician since the age of 4, and an avid crafter, I’ve still always had some issues with decorating my homes. I’ve divorced, moved, raised 2 sons myself,moved again, retired on disability,inherited furniture from my parents, moved again - so needless to say, my taste and the furnishings etc I have are of varied styles. Which is ok because I’m eclectic myself - as is my home. Lol. The accessories are how I pull it all together. Many of my accessories are things that belonged to my grandparents, my parents, great aunts and uncles. So I’m obviously a sentimental vintage style person with touches of art and musical items scattered around. Your tips, shopping trips and tastes are so inspiring. And your laugh! OMG, love it! Actually heavy blankets are beneficial in relaxing the body and improving sleep 😴 Yes, we should all invest in weighted blankets/comforters. Sleep is as important as eating healthy and exercises.

Actually I bought a thrift shop I bought a $4 cotton waffle weave heavier blanket that is charcoal.... I bought it a couple of years ago Before all of a sudden heavier weighted blankets was considered trendy. And it is perfect for Florida in that added weight when you need it. You don't have to go out and buy a 25 pound blanket or a 10 pound blanket to stay comfy and sleep better. You can buy two Thrift Shop blankets for $8 and then you have what you need. And the thing is it's very trendy And goes very well when I add all of my 85,000 billion dollars worth of other stuff. Ha ha. And it does the job and you can wash it. Good deal and quite lovely. So there ya go. Love the videos...

Thrift stores, garage sales and Facebook marketplace are your friend. Trust me. I used to think high design was out of my budget too and then I discovered that people are literally tossing their amazing old luxury out. You may have to put a bit of love and work into the old pieces like paint and sanding, but you can get really unique and amazing pieces for dirt cheap if you look around. Give it a try! I think you’ll be really excited by what you find.

I'm an empty nester that finds comfort in the little treasures found at thrift stores ever since I started watching his channel I've put some of it away😆. I love watching him. @@tatygonzalez8664 I love vintage too! Arvin’s style is so different from mine, but I’m modern Victorian with a flare for eclectic. I’ve just started adding mid-century modern into my rooms and I’m loving how the clean lines are contrasting with the elaborate, vintage pieces. I always look for designers who are different from my own taste to see if I can find something new to bring into the room. For your tea cups/pots-you could create a vignette or display where you rotate out which ones you want during different months. That way it doesn’t look cluttered and you can really appreciate each piece for awhile before switching it out. If you love them, find a way to embrace it and show it off. That is my biggest struggle...I have a too much gene and I put too much out all the time. I am trying to pick up from Arvin a bit of elegance and simplicity.

My daughters come over and say mom you have too much going on.
