I am 56 Josie and I have to say how impressed by your elegant and chic way of dressing for a young woman. Any woman at any age could wear all the looks in your video (in my case I would always opt for knee length or below, as it's more flattering on an older woman), so I would just adapt the length for me. What lovely recommendations, very very stylish, and whilst I don't want to put any of the younger generation down I feel many young women would benefit from a few of your styling tips. I've noticed your key to this is, not too tight, not too much flesh....you look like the film stars of the 50's, so glamorous, absolutely beautiful, gorgeous fabrics, harmonising pallet of colour. Your videos are lovely to watch and very inspirational, even at my age x

Gorgeous Josie! So here’s the video I’d love you to make... What would you wear if you were a mum living in the countryside in Devon doing school runs for a child in reception, working from home as a writer and looking after a male toddler half the time with a proclivity for dirt and mess of all kinds? I love creams and whites and pale pinks so much but I wore one hoodie this afternoon picking blackberries and got it dirty. My son thought it was fun to handprint my redone jeans with chocolate ice cream yesterday! 😂 love your style, if only I could pull it off without getting dirty! 🤣 Xxxx

Yes, this is you, Josie, at your best. It is lovely to see you styling clothes you have. You have inspired me to introduce two new items to my wardrobe. I have already worn them so many ways. As you are out of season with Australia, and you are ahead, it helps me to see what will be on trend next autumn/winter, as in 2020 for me. We are just coming out of winter and into spring, and there are loads of sales at the moment. I combined two looks into one. I found a gorgeous lightweight snake print button down maxi dress. The range of shades of grey in the pattern is very easy on the eye. I have worn it as a jacket, with buttons open over jeans a long sleeved top and boots. I have also worn it as a dress paired with a silver belt and a pair of grey knee high boots. I really liked elements of the midi/maxi flowy floral dresses you wear with the boots but I wasn't so keen on the obvious floral print. So this dress ticks a few boxes - the flowy dress with the contrast of the boots and the snake print. I think it is a bit more sophisticated than leopard, and suits my colouring more. I also found a lovely grey velvet knife pleat midi skirt that goes really well with a white button down shirt. It's great for work as it covers everything but is also flattering. I got both items on sale at the end of season, from really good brands. The dress was from Bardot and the skirt from Witchery. I know I can still wear them for another month or so while the weather is still on the cooler side. A bonus is I have confidence they will still be on trend next autumn/winter in Australia, based on what you are showcasing. The best thing, too, is they went with other items I already had, in a really unexpected way. So it extended my wardrobe by the addition of just two items. You have really helped me make the most of my wardrobe and to consider how new items will fit into what I already have. I actually personalise elements of your style to what works for me. I chew the meat and spit out the bones. I have realised I am a simple dresser and the notion of a consistent colour palette (blush pink, white, grey, silver jewellery and a bit of black and a splash of red) with minimal pattern works best for me. I am an inverted triangle so I suit more tailored and structured clothes. I have to choose flowy items carefully. This dress and skirt are ostensibly flowy but not in such a way that I get lost in them, which is what can happen with too much of a floaty style. They move when I move, but just a little. In a way, they are a bit of deviation from my standard, but I think they add to my wardrobe and have proven to be so versatile already. So, a big thank you for your message of quality over quantity, key investment pieces, developing a personal style and pairing with existing items.

Your colors are so beautiful. I love the Zara earrings, I am having some pearl love dreams currently. That dress with a asymmetrical hem has the loveliest print, so much better than an animal print - almost like feathers. Those leather trousers are so beautiful on you, love the color. Laugh if you want, but that belt bag reminds me of a Norwegian National Dress set bag. I love both the H&M skirts. You are so amazing in that green/blue one, and I love the longer one for fall. That roll neck is so classic, you will have it for years if it is good fabric. I love the lace dress at the end, it just works perfectly on you.
