Little story: My uncle in the Philippines owns a resort. A boy band in the Philippines (Not SB19) went there for the leaders birthday. But surprise surprise SB19 was there too! So my mom and my uncle arranged something and I got to talk to them! (Mostly Pablo). Pablo gave me Pro Level Beats for free and (IDK if you know this already) he's trying to get me a direct connection to the one and only... (drumroll please) you. That's it. Thanks for reading.

You should start with purchasing an actual 808. From someone who has created (not purchased) but actually CREATED 808 beats for 25+ years dude in this video knows absolutely nothing about 808 beats or sounds. Think of it this way: how is he gonna teach anyone about “808s” when he doesn’t even own TR-808, but instead merely purchases (or is giving) midi packs created by other people. Said differently he is a complete fraud. One day you will realize this. Trust me.
@jayvader90233 жыл бұрын
@@YourFreeBeats dawg in production terms nowadays 808s are bass, not the actual tr-808 drum machine. you seem elitist
@ekyo_stuff2 жыл бұрын
4:47 Note for the editor: I also make more experimental music and after quite some time of playing around with stereo bass, I have found that you can pretty much achieve the same stereo effect but without as much phasing issues and mud by just high passing the stereo info of the harmonics of the bass on a mid/side EQ at around 80-90 hz, therefore leaving a clean sub but still keeping that wide and stereo feel. It pretty much sounds the same most of the time unless it's a really weird and specific case, and you don't get as much phasing issues, so it doesn't lose bass when played on a mono sound system, like a bluetooth speaker.
@ELISHACAEZ2 жыл бұрын
Or just double the 808s and hard pan them, Leaving no middle information, Ignoring mono
@ekyo_stuff2 жыл бұрын
@@ELISHACAEZ yeah, but that still has a problem, that you still have two bass notes that share the same frequency on each stereo channel, wich will undoubtedly cancel each other out a bit, which means that even tho they may sound alright in stereo, when the song is listened to in mono the 808 will sound weaker

A really good way to find the key of your 808 (WITH EDISON) is to right click on your bass and click “open in audio editor,” and this’ll open Edison and then on the top there will be a few icons to click, but u wanna click the thing that kinda looks like the letter P, and hit detect pitch regions, then it’ll give you the note of the key your bass is in

That sample of “doing too much” would work with vocals if the vocals were not playing or on a break or “rest” in the song. A good example of this is “we ain’t ever getting older” where it just has that main lead.

2:43 I found that by shifting the kick just the smallest amount possible in fl studio (change from line to 1/6 and move the kick forward 1 unit on the maximum zoom, IDK what music term that is, sorry) creates a much harder kick, its shifted just enough that it makes it sound super kicky, and less punchy
