Just throwing out an idea for story seven (in the unlikely chance that OP sees this): Insomnia, ADHD, "the weird kid", depression... Having multiple symptoms like those (also ADD, dyslexia, etc) can often be signs of being autistic. It's actually pretty much normal for us. If you have ADHD, trying talking to your doctor about the different medications you can use. Often times, it's just your brain having a hard time shutting off, and it can lead to things like insomnia. If you get a medication that works for you, it can regulate your sleeping patterns and schedule. I don't know the whole context, and I'm not an autistic therapist / psychiatrist, just saying what I've personally been through, as someone who is autistic, has ADD, dyslexia, and insomnia.
@Jolis_Parsec2 жыл бұрын
High functioning autist here, what was formerly known as “Asperger’s Syndrome” until society decided that was verboten, and I can attest that that particular individual sounds like they could indeed be on the spectrum and aren’t aware of it. It’s not unheard of for folks to go through their entire childhood without being diagnosed either, so they might want to check about that possibility if they haven’t done so already.

@theveimox49452 жыл бұрын
I really want to know as well but I cant find anything! I've been looking online and can't seem to find a flower that does what that person described, the best I found was that there's a thing called "tropane alkaloid" which is something that can be found in toxins that plants release as part of a defense mechanism to avoid being eaten by herbivores and " They are known to cause cardiac disorders, mainly related to heart rate disturbances, and also euphoric states, disorientation, depressive activity toward the CNS, and dryness of mucous membranes." This is seriously the closest I could find but I'm sure its probably wrong. I really hope somebody with more knowledge can tell us what that plant was though because I'm very curious
@johnnynapalm28872 жыл бұрын
@@theveimox4945 those things from the tropane alkaloid could definitely cause that first story to happen. Elevated heart rate/fear will have you all fucked up.
@iridiumcaptain2 жыл бұрын
My best guess, as is suggest by some others, is that it might be Datura (or something related to it). Johnny's guess about the type of poison would comport with this guess.
@adawg3032 Жыл бұрын
@@theveimox4945tropane alkaloids are a wide range of chemicals. Even cocaine is a tropane alkaloid. There are some tropane alkaloids that are also opioids. It’s like saying “caloric beverage” instead of saying “coca cola”, it’s broad and non specific. Brugmansia which contains scopolamine which is a tropane, does cause delirium but that doesn’t mean every tropane alkaloid does the same thing.

Just take it like it's a story a coworker told you. Probably embellished, maybe even made up, but if true...pretty terrifying. For things to be completely true, they'd have to be verified. Yes. In fact, the cave-dwelling Asian ones are giant huntsmans. The ones Aussies are always showing pictures of are the SMALLER variety. The centipede is either totally fiction or they mistook several skittering abominations for one. No centipede gets anywhere near 5 foot. Even 1 foot is almost unheardof.

After hearing the story about the large insects in Vietnam I have some theories. Way back during the Carboniferous period oxygen levels were much more dense then they were nowadays which meant that most invertebrates such as spiders or dragonflies could grow to gigantic size. It is possible that Vietnam experienced a higher level of oxygen at some point in the past that had lead to the evolution of some of the organisms noted in the story. It could also be that the insects weren’t large at all, instead it could be result of how fear has a tendency to exaggerate the size of something (apparently people with arachnophobia are prone to this). What do you guys and gals think about my two theories? I honestly don’t really think the story is true as it sounds biologically bizarre.

For having nightmares, that medication would most likely could have been Ambien. And the side effects of Ambien are Nightmares, Sleepwalking, and Hallucination. I was on it years ago and I slept walked 2 times and had seen the carpet on the floor and the ceiling do swirls and go up and down as waves in the ocean. I reached out to see if I could touch them, but I couldn't touch them because they were not actually happening in reality. I took myself off Ambien. My parents caught me sleepwalking and told me about it the next day by asking me if I knew I was even doing them. First, they asked me if I knew that I was doing them, and I told them no. I always have bad dreams, so I never gotten nightmares from Ambien's side effects that I know of. So, you were most likely taking Ambien for Insomnia as I had. You were having side effects of nightmares from Ambien. There is also another name for that medication, generic and original Rx meds.
