Dave is great! I’ve been using the app for a couple years now when I need a little bit of cash to get by before pay day. You set up a pay date and it takes it out of your account and pays back the loan on the day you set it for. And then if you need it again, you just take the loan out again and repeat.

The story about the apartment complex where the storyteller kept having acts of vandalism is very clear to me. Someone in the complex hated when they had parties. Every single attack followed a gathering. They must have been seriously triggered by either the parking spots being taken or the noise they made.

I love how fast the police gets to people’s houses in America. In my country, it might take a day if they even came at all. This is also why my house is much better defended than American houses. I have metal shutters on all windows, house alarms, very sturdy doors with triple locks on them. The only thing I don’t have yet (but am thinking of getting) are cameras.

As someone who’s had a violent encounter of someone trying to break in my home, my heart hurts for these people who live in fear and can no longer experience life comfortably. I constantly have to check my doors, I live in an apartment complex and every time I hear someone outside my heart races and I go to double check the locks. An unexpected knock at the door makes my heart drop. To anyone who’s still experiencing these problems, just know that you are not alone. If you have the financial means, seek mental help as PTSD is common with intrusions. Thank you to the OPs who shared their stories ❤

it never stops to surprise me whenever I hear about other family dynamics. things like kids not participating in household chores aka learning important skills for later in life. I call that being too sheltered btw .. and the mom of the household not being able to do any of the hard work on her own. but then I remember that my dad used to have an issue with my mom doing the hard work herself until she got fed up with waiting for him to do things and just did them herself. my siblings and I do have all the skills needed from cleaning and cooking to assembling furniture and and repairing things. I think that's how it should be. girl, boy or whatever the kid is, learning all the skills is the best way to make them survive and thrive on their own. not anyone can rely on their parents or a partner all the time and some don't want to. not to mention that gender stereotypes suck anyway
@silvercandra4275
@silvercandra4275 2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. My father was never around when I was a kid, and it's wild to me, how many people have never helped their parents paint a room, or fix some furniture or stuff like that, before they moved out. It's why my friends constantly call me up, now that they started moving out, because I'm the one guy that learned how to do it.
