I was in 2 physically abusive relationships. My advice is get out. The 1st time he hurts you. He will keep doing it. The abuse will get worse. This is for men as well.
@MirrenTheDragonKnight7 ай бұрын
Many people cannot just leave, though. The abuser usually has kind of power over their victim, be it physical, financial and/or societal (abusive women, be her partner male or female, but especially male, thanks the negative results and beliefs of feminism). Even without these factors, fear makes for a strong prison. Another sad reason, as shown in this video, is that some people might rationalise or not even recognise the abuse.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like you're not European, the justice system here is VERY different from the US. Those crimes wont get you to jail/prison out here. For example, if you kill someone that is breaking in your house instead of letting him steal and leave, you will be the one in jail, not the robber, here, he will be the victim because those crimes do not give you the right to take someone's life, also, you dont have the authority to decide whether someone may live or not and deserves to die for his crime(s). I know it sounds crazy for you, but its totally normal here. It didnt surprise me that Paul was still out after a few hours in jail for the attack. He will be charged, but in the meantime, he'll be free because innocent until legally proven guilty. That is also the reason why the judges are reluctant to hand out restraining orders. Last but not least, he'll only get a 3 yrs max sentence. Totally normal here. *Edit: typos

To the girl with the toxic bf and drinks, you need to get out of that asap, none of the things you did/are doing warrant that type of behavior, nothing would actually. But at the same time about the whole “flirting” thing, just for your future relationships, that’s not healthy. Idk why anyone would ever think flirting with someone else while in a relationship is healthy
@HeartfeltMomentsTGG24 күн бұрын
Heartfelt Moment: I completely understand how tough it can be to be stuck in a toxic relationship like that, especially when you feel trapped between love and self-respect. It's so important to set boundaries and recognize that you deserve respect, no matter what. At the same time, I agree that keeping your relationship healthy is about being clear with your own boundaries, too-flirting or any kind of emotional involvement with others while in a relationship can complicate things. Do you think there’s a way for both partners to address the underlying issues without crossing those boundaries?
@z_802424 күн бұрын
@@HeartfeltMomentsTGGfor sure, however in my opinion being emotionally involved or flirting with someone shouldn’t be a boundary.. it’s one of those things that go without saying, because if you’re in a monogamous relationship that’s just flat out unfaithful. But if someone can’t respect your boundaries, the mature thing to do would be leaving the relationship instead of wasting time and energy into someone that doesn’t respect you enough to make that sacrifice, not abuse them like the woman in this story. When you love someone, boundaries in most cases are easy and come naturally, if reasonable. Different people have different preferences you just have to decide what works best for you.

The woman in story 4. You’ve been brainwashed to believe you are less than and you don’t matter. So if you’re not going to do it for yourself, do it for your future daughters and sons. Would you allow this person to put his hands on them? Dig deep and find a life away from this AH. And if any of your relatives or friends tell you to just forgive and move on, they only have their own self-interests in mind, not yours.

Leading a crazy, violent man to your friend’s house and hiding while they get hurt doesn’t sound like something a good friend would do. OP of story two should be more worried about filing a restraining order than the wellbeing of his (hopefully) ex girlfriend. Story three just didn’t belong here at all. I hope the OP gets a backbone and some self esteem. Story five made me groan. Love is not enough to excuse abuse. Dump that terrible woman.

Everything you just stated in your comment, is the reality of the all those situations. These OP’s make me sick. Playing the victim when you know you are wrong, is downright disgusting in terms of morals.

Story 1 is SO disturbing. That "Paul" guy was SO BENT on harming someone that he was willing to do it REGARDLESS OF CONSEQUENCES! That is TERRIFYING and INFURIATING!

Many of these stories really trigger me, as I had been in a very abusive relationship myself before. The amount of people that say they didn't do anything because they "love my boyfriend/girlfriend", it makes me think THEY need to get some help themselves. A loving feeling doesn't equal the rights for someone to abuse or threaten someone, and holding back for that loving feeling is a bit ignorant and mentally insecure. My ex that abused me, after arguments or screaming at me, it'd end with us not speaking for hours, or up to days, and I'd never be the one to reinitiate speaking. But the one time that I was physically ABUSED, that was it. That's never ok, and that ended any chance of a relationship continuing. I hope people start to use their heads and not just their "feelings" to get out of these potentially dangerous situations.

I stayed cuz I couldn’t afford a place without him I believed I made him mad I believed I could handle it , he told me he had deep dark places , when they tell you bad stuff about them BELIEVE them if you can’t afford it without them now … ugh well 21 years later I fianlly planned for 2 years and had to plan my escape and he never hit me til he found out my plan no until then he only drugged me and had me diagnosed with schizophrenia… well almost a year without him and when my plan was found out he said “I should’ve killed you way before this” and he beat me like I was a man .. believe the dark side believe the “drunk out bursts” as them any thing to find your value and you don’t wait for the restraining order to be upheld cuz I’ve had one on him for a year now and 5 cops visits due to breaking the restraining order I never thought I would do this but I got a gun.. as long as he pays his bail they let him out he has 7 dwi and never more then 48 hours in jail … what’s my little resrainging order mean to these cops when he is a delivery driver with 7 dwi?
