People also undermine your work when they report you for some thing inappropriate. I have over 25 years of experience as a nurse practitioner and I had a nurse report me for not performing a procedure correctly. Much to her surprise this is out of her scope of practice. Meanwhile I work with significantly less experienced coworkers, and for whatever reason she chose to tell everyone in the department that I didn’t know how to perform a procedure before it was formally reported. I’ve never I’ve had my work scrutinized. I’m done with the micro aggressions.

Sometimes a negative person has become that way because of bad management and lazy co workers. Basically their negativity stems from the environment and culture.

Agreed. Many people are hyper compliant. A survival mechanism. The poor behaviour is rewarded in the form of acceptance and approval from others....Nevertheless, a mystery to me why people would wish to create an uncomfprtable workplace in the first instance.

yeahh most of the time i find that most of these traits are amplified if not caused by a bad management and a lack of leadership. subordinates learn from managers what it takes to "be successful". Unfortunately, i have yet to find a majority of leaders in management who are more concerned about the team or the work rather than ma king the boss look good.

These personality traits are destructive in anyone, be they employee, manager, executive, or even outside the workplace. A simple family gathering for the holiday can be ruined by people like this.

I agree, except for one line. "Find the best ideas together"... That's ideal; however, regardless of where they come from (group or individual), the best ideas must win. It is best if the environment supports both manners of operating. Just my two cents :) Thanks for the video.
