Host Eric Paulsen traveled the state to find 8 Unique Wisconsin Cheeseburgers, and Wisconsin didn’t disappoint! Each specialty cheeseburger had something different to offer from locally sourced ingredients, to award-winning specialty cheeses and different types of meats. These chef-inspired cheeseburgers are bound to please your taste buds.

Wisconsin quietly and consistently has the best burgers and pizza, because of the meat and cheese. Very underrated for food quality imho.

Where in Wisco? If in Milwaukee, I highly recommend (in no specific order): - Mazo's on S. 27th St. It's an old-school tiny diner-type spot directly across the street from MKE ICON Leon's Frozen Custard. They fresh grind their beef every morning, and it really comes through in the pure beefy flavor. But keep in mind they don't stay open late. - Sobelman's on W. 18th & St. Paul (2 mins west of downtown). A classic pub and grill spot. Great burgers (I recommend the Sobelman Burger WITH jalapenos), cheap beers/drinks and their Bloody Marys are pretty solid (some are flat-out ridiculous however, with entire burgers/chickens, etc atop them), and they stay open late. They get pretty busy, so plan on a bit of a wait if going for dinner, especially on weekends. - Elsa's On The Park N. 8th St & Jefferson St. (Downtown @ Cathedral Square Park). Definitely a nightlife spot. Great to bring a date to (no dress code, but you'd be out of place wearing shorts and a t-shirt). EXCELLENT bourbon/wine/spirits selection, they completely transform the art/decor every month or so, and has a great menu. I LOVE the Burger Au Poivre and the pork sandwich, the wings are outstanding as well. It is owned and operated by the same guy who owns Kopp's Custard (which you MUST go to, hands down the best frozen custard in the USA!!!). Sorry for the lengthy reply, but hope it proves helpful. Oh, and WELCOME TO WISCO! Get yourself a Brandy Old Fashioned and a Friday Fish Fry STAT! Keeper movin', der guy!

@@MrOuchiez Kopps' not only has the best custard in the country, their burgers have consistently logged a spot in the Top Fifty Best Burgers in America. Always worth the wait. 👍

An Oklahoma Onionburger with Wisconsin cheese from the creamery across the street is the best of both worlds. Route 66 meets County Road K.

How do you do a Wisconsin burger episode without Pete's in Prairie du Chien?

Easy, it's an episode on cheeseburgers and at Pete's, where they essentially cook the burgers in water and onions (a delicious way to do it), they don't even offer cheese as an option.
