I'm living for this minimalism mindset! I'm not even ashamed to say that I'm still holding on to my S5! I was gonna get the S10 but then I thought I might as well invest the money and delay upgrading for another 6 months. My phone works fine for my lifestyle - my laptop is very new in comparison, so compensates for that

I quit my job yesterday. I began to live a simpler life by limiting restaurants and needless spending. I started saving a majority portion of my paycheck, made a CD account and will have my tax return shortly. I’m fortunate enough to still live with my parents and have them pay for a education. I will spend my extra time flipping, photography and creating a men’s clothing brand. I am really enjoying your videos Gabe 😁

I get a high when my items sells on any selling platform and whatever I don't care to sell, I just put FREE on the ad and ppl come out of the woodwork to get em. I don't have to waste time and gas when I'm decluttering and then I make money off it too 😁

I don't understand one part about wants vs needs and that's the joy part. For example, Amazon Prime video is a want which brings me joy. Every night after work I come home and watch a few shows on Amazon to decompress. Its not a need, but its a want so I'm not sure what need would being joy to one's life. Anyone have any examples of a need that brings joy and value to someone's life?

I find it hilarious how the ads at the beginning of minimalism videos are always a useless, overpriced material items. Like today for example: it was the most recent Samsung. These ads are poorly paired to the wrong audience 😂

You have a lot of good suggestions, however, suggesting that people move in with their parents in order to save money is something you are only looking at from one point of. Parents have already sacrificed for many years to raise children and because they love you they're not going to say no to you if you asked to move back in but it's an inherently selfish request. I have seen a LOT of people forced to work five to 10 extra years and postpone their retirements because their adult children moved back home. Is it really fair to deprive your parents of their privacy, income and retirement so that you can live free? They have worked for decades and you are going to put extra financial strain on them? It's pretty hard for people to be past 40 and not have health conditions that can be made so much worse by extra stress and work - why would you do that to them? Not a week goes by that several people I am friends with or related to don't share their fear and frustration and anguish and exhaustion from trying to support their adult children while those same children are hanging out in front of the TV all day and going out with their friends and piling up money in the bank while the parents are working extra hours, taking on extra jobs, taking out loans because their children have moved back in with them. I know dozens of people 40 and older whose lives have been derailed because their adult children moved back in. They love their children so of course they are not going to say no even if they know that they're going to have to work extra shifts for extra years to cover the cost of supporting their children when their children are old enough to be out supporting themselves. your other advice is pretty sound but I have to tell you that it might be a good idea not to continue to suggest that people sponge off their parents. Parents don't want to admit this of course but they are no longer young enough and strong to withstand the stress of supporting extra and again it's just not fair for parents to have to postpone their retirements in order for their children to retire by 30.

I was definitely not suggesting that everybody do that but for some people if it's not going to if your parents I can definitely be a huge advantage are there if you're going to ruin your parents lives and I'm not extremely selfish obviously the same thing will not work for everyone
