Rich dad poor dad by Robert Kiyosaki was one of the first books i read about finances and the idea of financial freedom. Today I'm going over a few different ways rich dad poor dad changed how i think and changed my financial life. everything from the importance of financial literacy to the difference between an asset and a liability. This book also was what got me started in the world of real estate investing and i know has been a huge help to alot of people so whether you have never read rich dad poor dad or read it every year i hope its good to be reminded of these points.

You really inspired me decluttering my home and changing my mindset on finances. I just ordered Rich Dad - Poor Dad. After one of your videos last Friday I've completely decluttered my kitchen and only 20 percent is left and it feels so good. I can find stuff, I only have ONE of each item (I had three measuring cups ??) and it truly calms my mind. Thanks Gabe, keep inspiring the crowd!

Money is not the most important thing in life. As long as one can pay their bills and have no debt. In Switzerland home ownership is no big deal. A high education, speaking at least three languages plus being a good person and investing in a pension scheme is far more important here.

I love all the advice that you were giving. I have been trying to get my finances together and not having to live paycheck to paycheck. I have been taking the baby steps to see where my money is going and to figure out what things that I'm spending way to much money on. I have started to find ways to save money and not to impulse buy things.

Man, I’m so glad this popped up in my feed! Thank you for making this! I have one week left at my day job and then I will be taking my small business full time! It’s been just over a decade in the making, many times I thought I should close it as working two full time jobs is difficult, but I stuck it out. And I am soooo glad that I did! I now have been presented with all these great opportunities, and as risky as all this feels there is a tremendous amount of positive momentum that just can’t be denied any longer. Your tip about sales/sales courses is a great idea. I am a skilled trades person, and that is the focus of my business. Thankfully I have many many years of customer service skills that translate well, but sales and business/business management course would be a huge next step. Keep doing you man! Great stuff you have on here!

Your point of being able to understand something well enough to tell someone else reminds me of something I live by. I know smoking is bad, but hear me out. I work in IT. When I'm stuck on something. I go have a smoke and talk about it to a coworker. The smoke.. gets me away from the problem. If you don't smoke... just take a step away from it. But.. verbalizing it to someone else.. engages a different part of my brain and I KID YOU NOT I fix 90% of the things I'm stuck on.. while I'm outside having a smoke and describing it to someone else, because i see the flaws in my thinking... by verbalizing it. If you have a problem.. step back... and work on the problem VERBALLY. It really does change things.

That's absolutely true when I have issues I generally just talk to somebody about it and they don't end up saying anything and I just work it out it's like verbal processing

Coming from an accounting degree + having my CPA. Definitely the Asset vs Liability description of this book was the biggest lesson. It is completely different from accounting theory, but it makes so much more sense to apply to life the RDPD definition.

@3:35 LOL Wait till you reach 50 years old and hear yourself saying that. 50 seems old now, but when you're 50, you'll say you'll live for at least 20 years more. P.S. I'm 28 atm, so it's just a concept I've heard about from others.

WHAT? ok as a teacher in thee netherelands iam now like very very concerned about the schools at your place XD I teach my elementary school kids every day they have to fail first in order to learn. I literally say that they need to make mistakes, because if they dont whats the reason for me being there as a teacher?

My husband and I live minimalist and self sufficient (wherever possible). I read Rich Dad, Poor Dad many years ago. My husband is reading it now...and he very smugly mentioned, well honey...we must be doing ok cause we implemented these ideas years ago. Yep, covertly and without a lot of fanfare...yes we did. LOL. Yes, I like this style...it makes you real and human.
