@@rickwhite4137 did you know that Russia has 4 times the number of engineers compared to the US, despite having only half the population? What made America into the land of opportunity was the incentive for highly educated people to come to America. In one of those countries you speak of a recent article talks about there being only one person left on the west cost that wants to be a painter. Hordes of cheap workers from east of Europe and other parts of the world do most of the hard, low level work, but they do not always settle, but instead move to where they can find work. In the other end of the scale you find that you need a bachelor degree to even work in a kinder garden in some areas. This creates an ENORMOUS pressure on the youth who can no longer expect to survive with a low level job. Truth is, you don't NEED a large number of highly educated people to create a successful nation. You only need to maximize the incentive and opportunities for those few exceptional people to come and create jobs for the rest of us.

13:57 If the largest Supervolcanos and even Magma dome exposure didn't cause a runaway greenhouse, what sort of conventional volcanic activity would? And if it would take a hard non-self sustained push beyond a 140°F surface temp from the current 50-something degree avg. to cause a runaway, how would that happen from co2 alone? I've read some (reasonably) thorough analyses -and a even a few simulations of (up to) a full 30,000% increase in CO2, which didn't touch the required 90°F (minimum) increase in surface temp needed to trigger a runaway greenhouse on Earth. ...
