Omg I find this so relatable idk if I have a nutrient deficiency however over the past few years my scalp became very sensitive to where when I started using synthetic hair lord it would become so inflamed. Only thing that helped was acv and tea tree oil, but not for a long period of time where I felt like I couldn’t ever get these styles done again! Thank you for thisssssssasss

Recently got into protective styles for my curly hair and just never knew much about them and i got 30 inch small box braids n bought cheap fake hair and ONG i hav sensative skin and it really felt like fire ants eating my head! Washed with shampoo/apple cider vin and sooo much better now i also got this mentholated jamaican spray which is truly god sent. How ever i didnt learn about the spray or wash till i lowley fucked up my braids. Live n learn for next time!

So I got braids for the first time ever and after a couple of days it began to itch sooooo bad. What I've been doing is: Everyday spray with a concoction of: aloe vera juice, hylauronic acid (the ordinary), Peppermint oil. Massaging that into the scalp twice a day When build up occurs. I'll spray my concoction onto the scalp, go take a shower for the steam effect and then go in with THE MANE CHOICE minty scalp purifying spray. Follow the instructions of spraying and wiping with a clean tshirt or something just to absorb the buildup that gets dissolved with the spray. So far my scalp has been feeling clean & the minty feeling really helps with the itch. For those who have itchy scalp and nothing works I highly reccomend using peppermint oil Also I've stopped using any sort of heavy oils. Somehow they just make everything worse. If you do need to oil your scalp try to use something light but u definitely know it absorbs into the skin. Try testing it out on your arm first. If it doesn't absorb then it just sits on the scalp and make life hard.

that last tip is a life saverrrr!! ty sm, im doing this with all oils im trying/testing out for the first time, bc regardless what state my hair's in (protective, natural, blown out, etc) my hair gets build up so fast with heavy oils 😭😭

I didn't know about the rinse with rice vinegar as well as please give us a box braids video.. I started washing my hair when in braids only when swim or do some nasty activity where I sweat.
