When I was travelling around the U.K. with my friend we always showered at golf clubs.We used to go into the changing rooms have a shower which was free.No asked any questions as long has you have a sports bag.Then we used to pop into the clubhouse for a coffee

When you are in France, then there are charity organisations and social centers practically every City, where you can get morning coffee and shower. Paris has even City showers free to use. I think Germany had same kind of places.

@@iingeeb when you are in some city, search for Croux Rouge and Restos du Coer in Google maps. If they do not have showers, they probably know where to go. Sometimes they have printed brochures to all the services in their city. In Paris, it depends which district you are. I used municipal showers in Rue Obercampf there; in Lyon they have now only one municipal shower left near stadium outside from city center. Those municipal showers are widely used by families, so as solo female you could be confortable there.

I live in Switzerland and most of the train stations have showers and toilets which are sanitised between every use and worth every cent :-) One brand is Mc Clean 2 swiss frank for a pee or a poop and a bit more for the shower :-)

Usually this word describes ships "at moorings," areas of a harbor where ships and boats are tied to a fixed object on the seabed, like a large concrete block. A buoy is tied to the block and the ship ties to the buoy. So a docked ship is moored, but a moored ship isn't necessarily docked.

You mentioned in a previous video that you were coming over to Canada soon - if you are planning on doing some vanning over here you might want to check if you are in one of our mosquito infested rural areas before doing the outdoor shower thing. They will be all over you within seconds if you are in the wrong spot - water attracts them like crazy. Not sure whereabouts you are going, but from the British Columbia through to Ontario look out for Husky gas stations/restaurants as most of them have shower facilities and are well looked after. From Ontario on to the East Coast the Husky chain runs out, sadly, but the Irving 'Big Stop' gas stations/restaurants take over. They are fewer and perhaps not quite as good but still kept well. Both well sign posted on the highways. Good luck on the trip and enjoy!

Great tips!! I lived in a caravan over Christmas and there was a shower but it wasn’t the best, someone I was living with used the swimming bath option and I had a night in an air bnb at one point which felt like such luxury! Makes you realise we can shower less though if need be, I think we can get obsessive about being super clean and showering daily. In the past I’ve even used an outside, public cold tap to wash and it did the trick! (Was in a warmer climate than the uk though!)

Some airports also have showers... I've personally used the Dublin airport one & that was handy 😊❤ Also same thing for some bus terminals/depots... As in where you'd catch a bus to cross-country etc. But yeah, I agree, great tips 😊❤ Beaches & pools are generally my pick too... For anyone doing Australia, the beach showers are also often warm & in a separate little cubicle block, so you can often take one without your swimmers... V C: Double check the areas you're looking to travel to, & see what one's you see most often... For example, down here in Adelaide, Goodlife gyms are everywhere... When I was living in Sunshine Coast there were only a couple there... I remember the prominent chains up qld way being things like Snap Fitness, & Jets... (Think there's a couple more, but that's all I can think of at the minute) But yeah, like I said, your best bet is to open google maps, look at the places your thinking of being, & type in "gyms", & just see what names you see recurring... Again, just off the top of my head I'd say Jets, Snap, & Good life... But for qld & nsw, you'll likely find yourself near decent sea pool or beach showers, whenever you're near the coast... So as far as which gym chain in particular to go with, just keep in mind it might be best to think about places where you're more likely to struggle to find access to other free showers... That's an area I can't help as much with... I've only lived in Sunny Coast, Brisbane, Wollongong, Sydney, & Adelaide - All of which you'd have no trouble without a gym membership... Its inland I'd be more worried about... Sorry this is so long, but yeah so, my advice would be to look more at what gym chains are most common in NT (& inland/hinterland qld/nsw), & go with that one 😊❤ Hope that helped a bit, sorry about the length :-p PS. The community's died a bit compared to what it was like 2010-2014, but its still handy for meeting people, or to ask for/offer a hand if you get yourself in a pickle :-p Good folk there... & Might be worth double checking if its possible for PCYC membership to cover all of them, rather than just the one... Because there's loads of them dotted about the place, & they have showers too (cuz they have gyms etc inside)... Basic memberships like $20 I think, I can't see them having a problem with someone having a shower... Anyway, I'm off to bed, best of luck again. Emma. You could get a key for the facilities that us boaters use on the canals/rivers (UK) We all have a key and its free to use the toilets, showers and rubbish disposal points. It's slightly frowned on but I let everyone use my key. If they need a wee they need a wee. Can buy one on ebay (Duplicate) for a few pounds.

Erika Verhoeven hiya, it’s our 12v socket that stopped working! So the shower is ok, but we can’t use it which is a pain! But the setup we use is good and we’ve been using the shower for over a year now until this happened! Just clean the little filter out every so often and it will be fine😉😁 x

Hey guys I have the same 12v system but as a simple alternative I use one of those 3 litre sports bottles, the type with a handle moulded into the side. Simply drill holes in the lid and lift it over your head! The trick to stop it glugging out though is to glue a tube from the lid to near the bottom to allow air in 👍 Loving the German vids at the mo xx

Waterways Ireland showers/washing machines work off cards at their Marinas, which allow motor home parking. You buy the cards in one of the local shops or fishing shops. 10 unit or 20 units on the cards. They're such a great idea. Some of the marinas provide electric hook up, which also work off those cards

The student Euro Pass gets you discounts at museums, on ferries, bridges, etc. Or at least it did when I had one years ago. :) Some small town airports have showers that you might be allowed to use. They are a convenience for pilots to use.

A simple bottle shower is a good choice. Find a suitable container and drill holes in the lid. Fill with warm water and lift over your head!

You can also try yoga studios. Many of them offer free passes or discounted "trial" passes, if you'll be there for a few days. Similar to your swimming pool suggestion - you get to take a lovely yoga class and a shower and come away feeling like new :)

Cheap hostel will do in a pinch, if they won’t let you pay just to shower it can be worth €15 for a shower but I’d recommend taking my own towel and if breakfast is included you can pop back!

I don't know about Europe, but here in the US, you can ask a hotel/motel if you could have a "day rate" for a room. They usually charge you fifteen to twenty dollars, though I have paid as little as ten in my travels. It was something I learned about while staying in my vehicle when driving to and from Union diversity...when funds were tight. Youth hostile passes are great. Also in Spain there are Auburgs(spelling?) you can use for a quick shower. The Camino de Santiago trails/caminos have them along the way. I think the same is true in France and Portugal. :) The youth hostile allow you to buy season passes that you can use across Europe. Just ideas to add to your list. Safe travels. Oh the boat term is "docking" if they are tied to a dock, and "anchored out" if on anchor away from shore. :) If you become a member of a Yacht Club, usually other marinas let you use their showers and restaurants for a reduced fee or free. (Not the restaurant) But, if you use the restaurant you usually can ask for a free shower and free parking, if there is a fee.

In Canada and Stateside there are great deals ($20/mo 1 person w 1 guest) on health clubs. Any where near one of these is a good shower. Are there national health clubs like this in Europe? ✌

There are some chains that are reasonably cheap and spread throughout the UK but you have to nominate your 'home' club and one or two clubs that would be your alternative clubs and you can only change these locations on a monthly basis I think (Last time I looked into it) Its usually the gyms that are open 24/7 so you need pin code access so I suppose I understand why but its unfortunately not as well set up and easy as the US/Canada

Lots of great ideas for taking showers but you forgot taking a shower or bath inside your own van. Free and private. Just make sure you have heat of some sort of course to stay warm and to heat up water.

In Germany it is common to take your swimwear off i pool or hot springs showers, even if you don't have a private cubicle. Nobody cares, it's just women and kids and we know everyone is naked underneath their clothes. Old, young, fat, skinny..... they are shower naked. So e keep their bathing suits or bikinis on but nobody cares one way or the other.
