8 Ways to Use Garage Therapy /ZERO: Decontamination Shampoo

In this video, I'll be showing some of my favourite ways to use Garage Therapy /ZERO: Decontamination Shampoo. This has to be one of my favourite detailing products due both it's quality and versatility. It's definitely not just a shampoo, and there are plenty of ways to use it, so hopefully this video gives you some more ideas!

What a smashing video Heather! Thank you once again for taking the time to do a video on one of our products. You summed it up perfectly, its a tool to be used when the situation arises. Some other ways of using the shampoo 1. Wheel Cleaner 2. Engine bay cleaning 3. Heavy degreasing and undercarriage cleaning. 4. Cleaning Door shuts and rubber seals 5. Used as a prewash in a pump sprayer 1:10 heavy duty cleaning 1:25 Heavy 1:50 Medium and 1:75 Light cleaning

I use it in a spray bottle for a number of general purpose jobs, in place of an APC it has so many uses.

Just bought a bottle of this, along with Valet Pro - Dragons Breath, Valet Pro - Citrus PreWash, and Angel Wax - Stripped Ease. I am getting a second hand car soon so plan to totally strip it back and decontaminate it, then thoroughly coat it with car pro reload ceramic coating!

Another great video. I must get some of this. Tranquillity Based Detailing did a video about could one product do everything and Luke used this product and I think you have absolutely confirmed that it is such a versatile product. How often do you use it on your own car?

Interesting observation...reviving the ceramic coating. Makes sense. My Tesla Model 3 has the CarPro Xpel finest reserve ceramic coating...and of course they recommend sticking to CarPro products for cleaning/decon because they're specifically designed by the same brand. However I've found as an example the Gyeon line of products work great with my ceramic coated car and I'm quite sure other products do as well. Sometimes you have to look past the marketing! That's what makes your channel so great: the reviews and various uses of products. You have a big fan across the pond. Over here we say tire not tyre.

Any car that’s new to me gets the full GT Decon wash with this as snowfoam, shampoo and clay lube. Absolutely love the stuff.

I think I’m sold Heather! I keep seeing rave reviews up and down the country about this product and I feel like I’m missing out 😅. Would you recommend washing your car with this before using say an iron remover and or tar remover?

I have bought it to help remove a old spray sealant before I polish and ceramic coat , but only thing I found strange was it might end up reviving it instead of removing the protection , kind of weird it can revive and strip

Have you tried this in an ik foamer? I've just got the ik foam pro 12 and some decon shampoo, I was going to use it as a deep wheel and tyre cleaner. Do you use same ratios for products in ik foamer as opposed to a normal spray bottle? I haven't used it yet P.s. I'm currently using surfex as a tyre cleaner as it seems to do a decent job of removing the tyre bloom (antiozonants). Is this better than surfex for cleaning tyres?

Yep it works really well in a foamer. Try using about 10-15 mL of shampoo to 500 mL of water. For tyres I’d try it a bit stronger. 1:9 is a good ratio and has worked better than the same dilution of Surfex HD when I’ve tried it

Do you think is it safe in exterior plastic , trim and sensitive finish ?

I’ve never had any problems with it but it is quite alkaline so I’d be cautious of overusing it

My neighbours car is 12 years old, it’s red and it’s starting to go pink almost in places. You can tell it’s never been clay bared, or had car shampoo applied. They use washing up liquid and a rag to clean it.

2 ways really 🤔🤔🤔 in a snow foam lance as a pre wash or in a bucket as a shampoo 🙄🙄🙄 you would clean the glass as a shampoo and even the wheels and tires that's all i ever use it for pre wash in snow foam to help get rid off very old waxes and sealants and the same using a shampoo 🤔🤔🤔🙄🙄🙄
