They came with sponsored shirts, which wasn't allowed on tv at the time, but this game wasn't originally due to be televised. The game that was scheduled to be on Granada was postponed due to frozen pitch, so Granada rushed up to M.R., and in order for the game to be allowed on tv, Boro had to borrow unsponsored red shirts from OT. Made us feel good, we could pretend we'd won a derby ;-)
