Steve - Always an informative video. To live in a $80 dollar monthly houses is incredible cheap. If one was to invest his money in a hot water tank, AC, paint and bring the place up to American standards can the landlord take the place back? Can we take our equipment back and use it in next house or rental?

That is all the space I would need. Perfect little spot. A little split con and hot water heater and good to. It’s little spots like this that can let someone live a modest, yet comfortable life there. $80.00. It’s amazing really.

Great value. I would add aircon for sure. Power, water and rent would probably bring the total close to $150 which is still quite affordable. Is there a covered carport that comes with unit? Is there room for a front porch?

If you are living alone, it would do. On3 thing i dont like with toilets and bath in the Philippines, is the toilet and shower are not separated. When you take a shower, everything gets wet.🥴🥴🥴

Its too small for my taste , not that I need to live in a luxury 2,000 sq ft place . But I would prefer a two bedroom and about 800 sq ft .

Not for me, but if you are on a $600 budget this set up could keep you existing as long as your health holds up. At least you wouldn't be alone and starving like in the U.S., and there are many simple Filipinas that wouldn't mind being whoever resides there's girlfriend, though I do not condone living and sleeping together outside of the bonds of marriage, especially if you consider yourself a Christian. There are an abundance of poor male and female retirees in the U.S. that might contemplate such a move just to have a better existence.

There are usually laundry shops around, because few locals have laundry machine. I have stayed 10 years in The Philippines and this years price at my place, its about $3 for two big plastic bags with laundry. But there is always some local woman in most neighborhood , who who wash peoples laundry by hands,as an extra income.

So as a yank landlord do you have a master lease and sublease to tenants? Since we can’t own real estate. I have heard some expats lease land and build a $10k tiny home figuring even if they walk away from it they are ahead of paying rent if they stayed long enough.
