In this video, we demonstrate the powerful use of GenAI in teaching concepts in accounting, specifically using a role-based story simulation that asks the user to give their opinion about what internal controls issues were identified in the story. Because it uses GPT-4o, the latest GenAI model from OpenAI, the story is always unique and interesting, and the interactions are very helpful in guiding the student through learning about internal controls concepts. We leveraged an initial prompt from Dr. Ethan Mollick, as published in his paper located here - faculty.otc.ed..., which I highly recommend checking out!
