I've been loving these last few commercial blocks! I remember A LOT of them from when I was 4 years old! Crazy flashbacks! Thank you,

Slip and Slide, great for the kids, headache for the parent that had to regrown the grass at the end of the slide which turned into a mud pit each time it was used!

LOL! I was singing to that Slip n' Slide jingle! It was only yesterday... *Sigh*

I totally remember those animated Cinnamon Toast Crunch bakers. As a kid, they always reminded me of the weird singing trio of bakers from Maurice Sendak's illustrated children's classic--'In the Night Kitchen.' And THOSE bakers always reminded me of a trio of Oliver Hardys.

Omg! I loved "ONE TO GROW ON"!! nostalgic tear, sniff sniff :*(
@Zanaaa5013 жыл бұрын
Not only was there a Punky Brewster Saturday morning cartoon but it seems like it aired for the bulk of my prime Saturday Morning 'toon viewing years ( surprisingly it wasn't very good) and that One To Grow On is freakin' classic --I have not seen one of those since I was kid.!

THESE commercials really prove how rock music in the 80s early and mid influenced the culture. When we get to the early and mid 90s and even the late 80s..Hip Hop was the music of choice in most the kid commercials.

Effing smurfs came on the same time as the Thundercats every afternoon and my folks let my sister pick which show we watched WAY more often than I did. I hate you, smurfs.
@michaelbasile19795 жыл бұрын
I feel ya. I'm the youngest of five kids and the only son. The rule was oldest gets first pick. If she didn't want to watch anything in particular, the next oldest got to choose and so on and so forth. However if all four sisters didn't want to watch anything in particular, they would choose something random because they didn't like the shows I wanted to watch.

I used to eat so many E.L. Fudge cookies in one sitting, so yummy!!
@blugreen12313 жыл бұрын
I just bought E.L. Fudge cookies last wk. i didn't realize they didn't start out as sandwich cookies. i asked my fiancee what the "E.L." stood for, and he knew immediately that it was "everybody loves" love the Cinnamon Toast Crunch jingle I imagine it was kind of a pain to assemble Barbie's Splash Cycle now that i look back on it, Slip & Slides were just long pieces of plastic... the mix of animation styles in the Crest ad was really cool
@aronpol113 жыл бұрын
I saw cinnamon toast crunch at a grocery store the other day with all three bakers on the front. I had to check the top of the box to make sure the cereal didn't expire 25 years ago

I always wondered what happened to those other 2 Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bakers. Wendell survived for a few years as the lone chef but the other 2 went M.I.A shortly after this was aired....LOL.

PETE ROSE! In the Kool Aid ad! Epic! Was it just me or when those local station IDs came on during Saturday Morning TV you wanted them to GET OFF! I don't want to see NEWS stuff on my fun day! Are those the kindler, gentler Fun Fruits trees in that Crest ad? You're not seeing things, Punky Brewster WAS animated. In the grand 80s merchandising and cashing in on your popular sitcoms tradition!
