Thanks for posting these! The little girl in blue in the Vivid bleach commercial is my Cousin. I have been looking for that for years. She will crack up when she sees that. I grew up in the '80s and I love all of these. I could watch them for hours (and often do)

4:03--I vividly (pun intended) remember Vivid bleach being marketed as the liquid bleach that is safe for colors.

That 3 Muskateers commercial made me realize I miss old school candy wrappers. remember when Hershey bars were wrapped in foil and then in paper? I don't think they come in squares either, now. Also- Rolos used to be individually wrapped in foil! Such a pain.

Appropriate that the vid starts off with a star trek-esque commercial, and ends with a TNG commercial.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought that Juicy Fruit jingle was a little suggestive. I still have my Fairy Tale toy. Being a little kid at the time, I kinda cut off most of the hair on it though. >_>

Yes...because they were an ABC affiliate back then. They weren't "NBC 11" until 2002.

That drug dealer girl in the PSA is scary.

The ABC portion likely aired Saturday, 4/2/88. "Superman II" aired Sunday, 4/3/88 at 7 PM, and "Star Trek: TNG" only aired at 1130 PM on Saturday nights on KNTV.

I remember the Corn Flakes commercial, except they were advertising for slinkies, instead of Garfield pencil toppers.

4:33--Corn Flakes, one of several classic Kellogg's cereals that I like, but have trouble finding in boxes that fit in my cupboards. I wish they'd make the "family size" boxes shorter and fatter rather than tall and skinny. Post used to have a version of corn flakes, branded as Toasties, but I haven't seen those in ages. Kellogg's seems to own the market for that particular cereal now.

1:00--"Sometimes you need a little Finesse; sometimes you need a lot." Probably the only hair conditioner marketed as a timed-release product. 1:30--What ever happened to Listermint mouthwash? I recall that it came in both mint and cinnamon flavors. 9:21--I'd forgotten that "Star Trek: The Next Generation" had been around that long. It was really popular when I was in college in the early 1990's.

I remember watching maple town when I was 4. When I became an anime nerd, I was blown away to find out that it was Japanese.

KNTV was an ABC affiliate when these commercials aired...
He says he was wrong for doubting her, and then puts his arm around her. How is that not support? And this would've been the first year Star Trek:TNG was in syndication. New shows in syndication get weird time slots.

Personally I think Renee Russo looks better now than she did then, she just gets better with age.

Nothing says 80s to me like Contac and Efferdent...and I never realized just how blatantly sexual the Juicy Fruit commercials were. Geez!!!!
