I've also got the 1979 and 1985 airings in my collection. It never gets old after all these years/decades!

I have that Snuggle ornament! I bought it off of Ebay a few years ago. I have a "Product Placement" theme going on with my Christmas tree.

Aww, it’s Snuggle Bear :) I remember the Oreo ad, the second 7Up ad, and the McDonald’s ad from my parents’ “Christmas Tape.” The recordings were from 1987, 1988, and 1991. I started watching said tape when I was about 6 or 7 and I would fast forward through the Christmas specials to watch the commercials. I guess you could say I’ve been an 80s commercials fan for over 25 years.

Campbell's Nacho Cheese Soup looked completely vile, and disgusting. They still make a Cheddar Soup, but I don't think it's the same recipe seen here, at least I hope not LOL! Television back in the 80's was simply the best. Simple, goodness, wholesome ads without filler. The jingles are what really capture the decade so well imo.

This Pound Puppy commercial concerns me. For example... 3:59 - This kid seems to be too young to be having a kind of party where a girl jumps out of a cake. 4:02 - I imagine the dad here saying, "Great report card, sweetie! As promised, I did not destroy your precious toy because you passed. You can have him back".

Haha girl jumping out of the cake. Yeah innocent as it may be I don’t think anybody at that age had that happen.

Oh, that McDonald's ad is the most classic of classics. The feels when Ronald goes back for the little kid...T-T

It's nice to escape to a time when the world was right, yet it's also incredibly depressing in contrast to today.

Hickory Hideout also aired on Saturday mornings in the 80s on WNBC-4 in New York (7AM!) The linked article says other NBC O&Os also showed it.

That boy in the Campbell's Soup commercial @ 0:54 was also in a Push Pop commercial. It's the one where he says "Hey! Don't push me, push a Push Pop!" kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4KXmGdte7F0p6M EDIT: I also spotted a young Tatyana Ali in the Pound Puppies commercial @ 4:03.
