80's Monsters and Mud Boggers - Bigfoot Record Setting Jump (56 feet)

Way before Dan Runte was setting records jumping Bigfoot, there was Jim Kramer. This was I believe a record setting jump of 10 cars (~56 feet). Kramer later broke this record and jumped 70 feet with Bigfoot. Enjoy!
Bigfoot 4x4x4 is the property of Bob and Marilyn Chandler. All other trucks are the properties of their respective owners past and present.

For some strange reason it was always very gratifying to me to see the windows and the windshield blowout of the cars when the trucks landed on top of them. Of course it was cool so they took it away. Somebody probably cut their finger on a piece of glass and now you don't get to see glass explode everywhere.

Me & my friends called all monster trucks "Bigfoot" in Japan. Moved to the States in '87, and the American kids corrected me, but the Bigfoot is still the most notable monster truck to me. :)

The reason Bigfoot isn't in Monster Jam is because Bob Chandler didn't want to sell out. When I learned that all the trucks including the legend Dennis Anderson sold I lost a little respect. I get it financially but still it's the principal

I loved this era too but all the drivers destroyed their spines and necks and brains in a few short years driving these beauties. They had almost no suspension and had to have their necks in a bad position to see out. Today they can see the floor and they have 30 inches of suspension travel instead of 6 inches and they are strapped i to the seats with their spine and neck fully protected.

Anyone who says otherwise is full of shit *AND* you wouldn't pay a dime to see "metal trucks" today. When Monster Trucks had real bodies on them, why ? Because they were what they drove! Now, its just a DESIGNED frame and slam a fall apart body on it. Not fun to me to watch. I'd rather see a dent in a VEHICLE to show it's real and not fake. IT'S when all Monster trucks were BUILT to the correct status, so you could route for Chevy or Ford or even Dodge, but Big Foot was the truck with then came Grave Digger. Seen that truck dent, because it was metal, dented enough and stopped at inside roll cage once it stopped on its nose at the PROVIDENCE Civic Center back in the late 1980's or very early 1990's max. It jumped and got on brakes but took a bounce and stood on nose, then went to flip forward on roof, but up against the cement wall with rails and he stopped on his nose, then fell forward and hit roof. I might have pictures of it. That's when there was just 2 to 6 trucks, rest was pulling trucks or tractor's with 5 Engine's on it to PULL THE SLIDING SLED WEIGHT. See who pulls it the farthest. Big Foot became a side attraction back then, then they became a bigger show with more truck's, tickets cost just $10 for best seats, then they started new with the new 4 wheeler's racing 5 quick laps. Just a show, they acted like clowns in a rodeo, get in a quick fight and then get off the track for big trucks.
