You might already do this, but if not....maybe you could pour a little bit of whatever color paint you use (especially when it's a custom color) into a smaller jar and stick it in one of the drawers so that the buyer can do touch ups if ever needed. Just a thought!! This turned out great!!!!💜💜

In 1968, my husband and I bought this exact dresser with a mirror attached with our wedding money. We also bought the bed and chest of drawers. The entire three piece set was $495.00. That was a fortune back in 1968. We kept the complete set for 25 years. My son now has this piece and uses it without the mirror as a tv console and my other son still has the bed. 55 years later, these pieces still look factory perfect with just a few nicks. I asked my son to send me a photo. Yes, it is an exact match. My husband had a good laugh and said to me, “I told you that we should have kept it!”

One of the many things I love about Lauren’s teaching is that even though the process is pretty much the same each time, she explains it each time. For example, why it’s important to remove hardware, clean the furniture first, wiping after sanding, or sanding after each layer, etc. She doesn’t skip over those points. Even though I’ve watched many, many of her videos, I appreciate the repetition so that it’s in my brain & not new every time. Then with each flip, there is something new since each one is different with different paint or technique.

I have an exact matching 3 drawer chest for this piece that I also got on FB. I painted the body white and kept the legs and drawer fronts the nice mid-brown they were naturally. It looks beautiful in my bedroom. xD ETA: not an exact match! Mine is solid wood with no veneer. Does that make it more or less valuable?

Love watching your tutorial videos you are so creative and the pieces always look so beautiful but I have a couple of questions. Why do you not replace the veneer on smaller defects like this started out? That way the piece could stay true to the original look and MCM is so in at that moment I just wanted to know if it was a budget thing, or a market thing. Also why use Bondo over wood filler/putty? I am new to all this and genuinely interested in understanding why one product is used over another. I would think the Bondo has been hard to blend in with the blue tint it has. Thank you so much for doing these videos it’s so fascinating helps me think more creatively.
