I was at Croy a few months back. We had to change there to get our connection at Haymarket back to Crewe. I remember well the next stop down at Lenzie when I was a kid and the push pull expresses thundering through between Glasgow and Edinburgh. And that was of the class 27 top and tail 6 mark 2b variety. They were succeeded by a class 47 and mark 3's with a mark 2 driving trailer. So cool and different. How boring rolling stock has become.
