You could have locked the coupon in the beginning, the first 2 shops always have 2 weapons and 2 passive items so you don't lose a chance to roll a pruner.

You're right! I do that in almost every other guide, to the point where I had forgotten it was *exactly* two weapons in the first 2 shops, not a *minimum* of two. Oops!

First time beating the game with Glutton just now. Best build I've ever had by far. Was lucky enough to get a nuclear launcher and three rocket launchers, so they were doing something like 150k damage pr. round at the end with 1k+ explosion damage. Got to level 36 before I was one-shot through my two tardigrades.

@Cephalopocalypse wiki says silver bullet is multiplicative (which I think checks out when you have so much % damage, there's no way your boss damage would be so much higher than normal enemy damage unless it was multiplicative). Would you consider doing some 'worst case scenario' guides for the purpose of randomized weapon runs on challenging classes? e.g. take a tough class like streamer and pick the worst starting weapon as if you random rolled it and see if you can beat that. Might make for an interesting challenge run series.

yep did it with starting pruners but I ended up with nuke and a bazooka along the ride. I think the difference was the shop discipline.

@@Cephalopocalypse One thing which I didn't realize was that melee damage is so important due to the passive scaling so well with it. I think I just forgot about that aspect of the character. I played actual rounds a bit differently, camping near my gardens and slowly walking into the consumables as I got overwhelmed. I think that with better dodging your strategy in waves is better. I also got lucky with an early-ish explosion size upgrade, which seemed so important and I'm glad that was confirmed by you.

Tough character for me but like most support characters, building Dodge early should help tons. Now, if only I can roll Dodge. You said it though; this character is very dependant on what you get. Thanks for the guide. (Castle was taken so I got creative ;)

Yeah, finding the right mix of defensive stats for this one is hard - I have found the best way is to just go all in on damage early and rely on the consumables to keep you alive. Cheers! :D

So it looks like Spicy Sauce didn't proc at all? Whenever you hovered over it or it showed back up in the shop the tool tip showed 0 damage done. So not worth it?

How it works on later testing is it adds 25% to the damage of the glutton explosion, but won't show up in the stats page. You can see the wave I pick it up, my damage goes from ~200 to ~300, so it's actually incredible for glutton. Which is good, it would be really disappointing otherwise!

Haven’t finished the video yet, but afaik spicy sauce doesn’t work at all… Also, regarding the pruners’ consumable spawn rate; they spawn a fruit as they spawn, so lvl 3 pruners will give you 5 in 60s (approx spawn at 3, 15, 27, 39 and 51s).

According to Aros's character guide, Spicy Sauce explosive damage gets added to Glutton's natural explosion. Haven't actually tested myself, but sounds reasonable.

You're absolutely right, I was off by one! The right numbers should be 4 for level 1, 5 for level 2 and 3, 6 for level 4 (still no upgrade from 2 to 3, but 1 more per level overall). Great catch!

Also I think the spicy sauce damage was getting added - there were a couple times I noticed the explosion was doing higher damage than the character tooltip listed it should. That would make sense since that's also how scared sausage works with flamethrowers and so on

The way I got 3000 materials was to do a Danger 0 run with Loud and used 4 Spectral Axes and 2 Spectral Scepters and focusing mostly on Harvesting.

Yeah - it seems kind of complicated. What I've heard is that you get new subscribers, but then they aren't interested in watching long videos, so when youtube shows them to those subs and they don't watch, the algorithm concludes that your stuff isn't interesting and stops recommending it. But I've also heard of people getting tons of new regular viewers. I imagine it's down to luck and also what kind of videos you make, some probably work better with shorts than others.
