800hp V6 Turbo HONDA CIVIC - 189mph!

Simplicity is key for this Civic! Or perhaps not.. This savage took a completely stock 3.5L motor from a 2002 Honda ODYSSEY, slapped some Acura TL Type-S heads/cams in it - as well as a stock (TL Type-S) 6-speed. He was generous to leave enough room for a 72mm turbo, and what has come of it? 800hp and a 189mph trap speed at the 2016 Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack! This little hatchback gets the stamp of approval from 1320video!

+Sean -Nacino Yeah C32s are great engines, sadly though, with its 90 degree banks would tough to squeeze into a little Civic bay :( J32 has 60 degree banks and was designed as a transverse motor, so it can fit much easier

I had a stock 2003 Accord V6 with the 3.0 Liter and it dynoed at 210HP at the wheels, rated at 240HP crank. One of the best engines in a car I ever had, that thing with a twin turbo KO4S or GT28S would be nasty, I thought about doing that but back then tuning these engines was impossible. Very under rated motor with a lot of potential.

never knew the motors were that stout. I have an 06 Odyssey and a limited edition 06 4dr Accord v6 6sp. Motor has been swapped to an Acura TL-S engine. Normally aspirated they both kick ass. Scared to boost a FWD car with a lot of torque. if that Civic was converted to a AWD Honda tranny that would be one helluva drag car!

Learn something new everyday. I was online looking for LV3 short block to swap into my Grand National and I ran across a 3.5L Honda Oddessy block and the bare block with it's cross-bolted main caps looked like a very strong block. Maybe I'll be swapping a 3.5L v6 into my Grand National, the main issue though is it being an overhead CAM engine.
