yeah, like she wasn't doped out of her ass. Where's she now?? Anything that close to Kratochvilova is made on super strong horse doping

Still running actually. She suffered injury recently and is now returning to form.
@jackward99016 жыл бұрын
If you believe she was clean. Which most people in athletics circles do not. You don't go from never running an 800m (2011) to faster than doped up Eastern Europeans (2012) without help. If she was not Kenyan, you'd think she was a doper. Which is ironic, because they have one of the highest numbers of caught dopers of any nation in track.

@@jackward9901 Jelimo has been nowhere like this since 2008ish. In 2012 it was a trial comeback, which was not very good. Finished 4th in London

It is often mentioned that Kratochilova's 1983 World Record is completely untouchable and impossible to get close to without performing enhancing drugs. Yet here we have an 18 year old in her first year of racing getting 0.7 seconds away.

What happened to Pamela Jelimo? So young, so talented, rumoured injury, and then nothing. She briefly made the event respectable again. 1:54-1:55 should now be commonplace at the top level for this distance.

Apparently injury, lack of motivation and mismanagement. Very sad. She was on course the break the WR and give semenya competition.

Made a lot of money and lost interest and motivation to run as she was set well financially. This plus injuries and being exploited by those close to her ruined her.

They always said the same, injury, lack of motivation... and so on. But in reality she was probably doped that season and used her years( probably she was much older) to avoid ban and public wrath.

It's honestly a bit fishy when a 18-year old runs this fast. The only "good" season she had after this was in 2012 (next Olympic year) where she ran 1:56:76 (5 races below 1:57:60). Other than that, she hasn't done anything. I know some people get injured and struggle to perform, but not like this. She's only in the statistics for 4 years between 2008 and 2015. So strange.
@OscarOstebo8 жыл бұрын
What I meant is that she only had 2 good seasons. The other 2 were not anywhere near as good, and she didn't even make it into the top 100 in the 4 seasons remaining. Coincidentaly, the only good seasons were Olympic years. As for Rudisha, he's been consistently amongst the best in the world for many years now with only 1 or 2 exceptions (where he still has been pretty decent). He'll be the favourite for this years' Olympics. Please mind the spelling.

Oscar Östebo One great tragedies when it comes to talent not being fully realised. Ultimately Jelimo is an Olympic champion and the 3rd fastest ever. However I think she could have legitimately broken Kratochvilova's WR. Unfortunately injury and exploitation (she on $1million then got married, ditched her coach and then her husband decided to coach her) meant 2008 was her peak.
@smilingbeast717311 жыл бұрын
She ran 800m in insane WR in her first official career run, she was 32 years old and 33 minutes before this, she already ran 400 meters run... No way without male hormones and other doping (there were no male hormones anti-doping tests that times). I don't believe her (and her coach) BS - they keep telling she was clean. Maybe clean, but full of male hormones.
