Content like this is why i dig your channel, it's more than just lessons. I've been playing with the idea of being a youtuber since the pandemic started. Dont worry, no drums, I'm an artist and just an amateur musician. I appreciate the honest insights into being a working musician in New York. What musician doesnt have a secret dream of trying to make it there, however fleeting. There's plenty of inspiration out there, thanks for doing your part. I may be asking you to subscribe sometime soon. Peace from Iowa where with the internet we're only five years behind the times instead of 10. Thanks for the cool content

Congratulations on the KZbin milestone! This video is a great example of your style, and why it speaks to your audience. The hard work is obvious to your followers. Always look forward to where you are going. Good luck with the Meinl trip!

I'm happy for you that the shared warehouse space is so nearby. In Chicago, it's always 30 minutes away in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood.

the hack is to just live in the sketchy neighborhood 🤣

I appreciate this video more than you would think, Nate! I'm currently making efforts to organize my life to successfully make the jump from random uploader of the same stuff I post on IG to legit KZbinr, and this is eye opening. Thank you 🙏.

Great video, as all of your vids!!! Question - what is the song that you jam to in the beginning of your vids - the one with the Dilla feel? Love it - would love more stuff about Dilla drumming as well - stuff you have out there is great, just craving more

I think this type of video is very useful for young people precisely because you are not a celeb. I wish I’d had access to this sort of thing when I was getting into music. It’s helpful to see what ‘normal’ musos get up to.

Your a Acme artist. Times change. I actually don't think it's a sellout, Meinl is my favorite for my styles of play. You wouldn't play Meinl unless you believed in them, especially your jazz playing. Enjoy the ride

Congrats for 100K Nate!! Thanks for the inside info. Without a doubt many people don't have a clue what goes into what you do, PARTICULARLY that you want to sound good and proficient doing what you do, and that you have to practice to keep in front of the slow moving train (love the analogy and footage!). And doing all of this while having a Life! So when are you breaking out that multi tom setup lol Love your style, well done.. 👍😗

For me it helps to lower the spring tension quite a lot for feathering, gives me more control and i don`t have to fight the spring. Anyway congrats on 100k (and those $32) lol.

I’m amazed at your grind, organization, being able to stay flexible with the unexpected. I live on a small lake, work from home, directly across the street is a golf course. Different scenery than yours and I’m idling away my morning thinking how can I be more productive. Thanks for the videos! I’m going to start with a workout and get the ball rolling from there. I’ll practice drums later. It’s on my list. Congratulations on 100K

Definitely interested in the behind the scenes stuffs. More please. It’s boring to you because you do it all the time and you slowly evolved into it. The rest of us have zero idea about how any of that works in a non-traditional job. I’d even find discussions about your business interesting.
