Great information! Thank you so much! 😊 I have a 2014 Nissan Altima never had any problems. After my latest transmission maintenance, I’m experiencing a studder, when it shifts between certain speeds. It seems to happens when I accelerate at a slower speed. Nissan dealership is saying that it’s normal, possibly my imagination because there aren’t any codes once diagnostic is complete. And the studder isn’t all the time but it does happen daily. Could I possibly need to reset TCM? Any information will be greatly appreciated. I’ve had my car for 10 years, so it does have some age on it but, it’s not my imagination.

I've put my code reader on my Nissan frontier 2006. And the code it said was a P1757 code. And I brought it two The Nissan dealership and another shop. And they both said that the transmission needed to be replaced. But I'm still not totally sure of a total replacement is needed. Because the cde says it is a front brake solenoid problem. So I'm totally confused on what I should do because a rebuilt transmission and install here where I live is between $4,000 to $6,000. I tried disconnecting the battery and resetting the system that way. But it didn't work. Thanks for your video.🙂👍

2015 Chevy Trax. 35k miles on it. Engine light goes on and off intermittenly (now with trac control light for a few seconds), though engine light will stay on for about 4 start ups, then turns off. Took it to the Chevy Service place. Got codes U0073, U0100 AND U0101 in the history. They can't figure it out. They said they cleaned frame ground in engine bay, cleared out the codes, gave it back to me. 2 days later engine light is on again (trac control light went on for about 10 seconds then turned off), Engine light is still on. What to do at this point.....

G - Sorry to hear this.. The issue is likely related to an intermittent wiring or voltage problem rather than the modules themselves. Ensure all grounds and power connections are solid, and test the battery and alternator output under load.

Since I get a P0700 with my FixIt gadget, plan on doing the RESET first. It is hard to find a TCM for a 2006 Mitsubishi Raider 4WD. Thanks for the great explanation of events. 😟

2007 Subaru Legacy...acceleration lags, shifting erratic and sluggish, just began 2-3 days ago, had transmission hose leak, re-tightened clamps for hose- no more leakage, fluid was low, refilled, no leaking, but transmission still lagging. How can I be sure it's a faulty TCM ? I will try re-set from the battery, disconnect and then re-connect. See if that works. Also P0851 code received

C - The P0851 code and symptoms are more likely related to the Neutral Safety Switch or wiring rather than the TCM itself. Address the NSS and fluid level first, then proceed to TCM diagnosis if issues persist.

I have a 2009 Malibu with no reverse and it will only do 20 miles a hour. Ive pulled the tcm witch is in the transmission if im correct. One of the rubber boots one the 3-5-r pressure switches is rolled a very little bit. I ordered new but am i working in the right direction?

1998 Benz E320 Wont shift out of 3rd gear (limp mode?) Key has to be turned to start position and held at least 30 seconds before starter engages. Noticed the (Park Locking solenoid) no longer works ever since the transmission started giving problems, so I had to bypass it to get the car back into and out of park, brake lights work so I'm assuming it's not the brake switch? Unrelated problem, fuel door will not unluck until the truck button on the key fob is pushed. I'm assuming the conductor plate/speed/turbine sensor is faulty, but would that explain why it takes so long for the car to begin to start? and would any of this have anything to do with the fuel door not unlocking until the truck button on keyfob is activated? Was getting code P0170. I cleared the codes and took car for a ride (still stuck in 3rd gear) to try to get the code to show back up, which it doesn't. Would dirty transmission fluid cause a stuck solenoid inside the transmission? If I replace fluid and conductor plate do I still need to have a dealership flash the TCM? Thanks for any help.

J - Sorry to hear about this.. Our recommendation is to replace the conductor plate and transmission fluid/filter, inspect and possibly replace the ignition switch or starter relay, address central locking and fuel door actuator separately, then use a Mercedes-specific diagnostic tool to reset codes and adaptations after repairs.

2011 chevy hhr 2.2 liter, had to change the transmission because i was having trouble getting out of 1-2 gear but third ran just fine, got it replaced and now i keep getting a p0700 code on my tcm mil and no idea why that is when i have no issues driving it, i mean it did shift weird and jump but a quick reset fixed that but it is still showing a p0700 code.

@8020Media it was giving that code less than a day after I got it back. Fluid is new and correct. Everything is tightened. I'm not sure if it is a bad sensor or tcm because it only gives that one code.

I went to orileys and the 2 codes I got are P 7011 temperature sensor P 700 TCR requested mil illumination . When driving goes into gear fine . When driving get a little shudder occasionally . Then going up a hill shudders a little more . But if I give it gas goes away . 2016 Chevy Silverado high country 94,000 miles . Any suggestions

yes I put new filter in and new fluid when I drive down the road it starts off good then feels like it goes into neutral I have to let off the Gas pedal it will jerke then starts going again it keeps doing this if the transmission got to hot can it burn out the the sensors in transmission

Hi i think my van is possessed. Its a 2005 Chevrolet 1500 v6 cargo. When the dashboard warning lights come on(check engine, abs ECT) the transmission stays on second gear but when the warning lights go off the transmission works like new. Ive taken it to auto parts and auto zone for codes and nothing comes up. I took it to some auto shops and nothing comes up. I took it to a shop that told me it was the break reservoir so i paid 500+ to replace it to no avail. I ran out of money and haven't been back to work in a very long time. Would sprinkling holy water on it help?

Turn key on then take negative cable out it will reset this is a problem with GM's make sure your brake fluid is full and your power steering in most cases is the hub bearing connector goes bad on one of the wheels

Hi, I have a 2011 Chevy Tahoe. my trans kicks out of gear shifting from 1st-2nd. If I put it in manual and shift it from 1st to 2nd it will go into 2nd with no prob and put it back in drive it drives and shifts fine. It only does this when shifting from 1st -2nd. Any help ? 😩

So my chevy cruze has a u0101 code no gear indication in dash when I try to shift it into gear it clunks hard we checked the transmission gear status in the scanner it says "in progress " we've checked wires and fuses everything seems good and before it decided to not communicate it shifted great is it the tcm itself?

Probably your neutral switch on the trans case ,if your dash is not showing what function you are in that's a good indication that switch is bad ..check it with an ohm meter

I bought a 2003 nissan altima with bad motor so swapped the motor out. Car turned on perfectly once driving it shifted smoothly until you get to a complete stop once taking off its stuck in one gear until you turn the car off and on then it starts shifting again until a stop.. found out the the ecu was fried so swapped that out got it reprogrammed and it's still doing the same thing .. no shifting after a complete stop , would you recommend to change the tcm or something in transmission. Any help please been stuck for months ...
