@@1BluvfreshBeats the hi-hat pattern in that song is crazy. Another song that's a good example is "No Cap" by Future and Young Thug. Southside went brazy with the hi-hats on that track!
@dianevrules5 жыл бұрын
Donaldson Daniel Hats on No Cap is elementary af. Only musical part about the song that makes that track listenable is the 2 bar repetitive melody, which is elementary af. Brandon Holmes I heard the Calling My Spriit. WTF is so special about the predictability of a mf hitting roll on a hihat??? Also, just like I said about No Cap...."Only musical part about the song that makes that track listenable is the 2 bar repetitive melody, which is elementary af." Lex Luger's early 10s production sounded more musical than this elementary BS Southside has been putting tf out. I see why he's pushing 808 mafia as opposed to himself. His time is limited. he seem like the weakest mf producer in that ish. He wouldnt be ish without Metro. That's why most of his hits are with him.

In all fairness, SouthSide/808 Mafia didn't have the arguably biggest-popular musician alive to send beats to. For 808Mafia they had to grind making beats and hope some local rapper liked their beats enough use them, and maybe get payed a little 20 dollars. For most producers that don't have a luxury of being childhood friends with Drake, it is a competition.
@norap715 жыл бұрын
Neil Jr no cause southside had waka/1017. just show who cares about quality vs a quick buck. no knock to southside get your money but the only one who’s pushing to expand out of that producer group is metro. he’s doing music with james blake, solange, wizkid & is obviously trying to last that’s why he ghosted for that minute. there’s a reason metro is in kanye & drake sessions & the reason of them aren’t.
@zasper22375 жыл бұрын
And he said they were still a team after that. Don't leave that out. People are wired different, so what motivates a man might not motivate the next. Neither Southside or Boi 1da is wrong either.
