Hi there, thank you for getting in touch! I programmed the rhythms myself - I have built up a collection of drum samples (bassdrum, hihats, snares, toms etc.) over many years, so I just added each individually to Cubase to hear what worked, then added a bit of reverb and a gate effect to get that 80s feel. I didn’t use any loops - each drum sound was individually added to the track, which took ages! The guitar sounds come from my Korg Kronos and my old Korg 01/wfd. Again, I had to record each part in little sections to make sure they sounded like “real” guitars, which again took a long time (probably about a week). Thanks again for asking!

Thanks for your question! There was no song in particular that influenced this track - I just sat down with a few of my synths and tried to come up with the right "sound". I grew up in the 80s, so I suppose hearing all the power ballads that were around at that time had some form of influence on me.
