The punky brewster theme song maybe one of the most underrated 80s cartoon theme songs.

The intro sounds a lot like "Baby Don't Say Goodbye" by Dead or Alive.

9:46 - I always loved that Skittle commercial. It brings a tear to my eye to see it again, reminding me of my old friends and our hangouts.

These commercials make me want to go grocery shopping. Now I get to pick out everything I want... almost, because now I try to be more health conscious. In retrospect, there were a lot of cartoons and they barely lasted two seasons. Some of this stuff I watched just because I felt like cartoons on Saturday morning was just what you were supposed to do.

That's how the medium is, if you look at most anime beyond the hits, they last 1 - 3 seasons on balance too.

Things I'd thought I'd never see again The ad for ORBI (and me remembering it) That Closed Captioning bumper at 12:10 AND the intro to Lazer Tag Academy. That was my favorite Saturday Morning show in 1986. AMAZING.

A neat set of commercials. I remember enjoying that lazer tag academy show but then I was a sucker for anything with lasers and spaceships. I also find those 3 musketeers adds funny since they have a '57 Chevy and that was about the last point a young guy could hope to even come close to owning one without buying it as a junker and putting in massive amounts of hard work to get it,

My sister and I had Furrever Friends. They were cats, and my sister and I love cats. We have a Ghostbusters action figures commercial on one of my own tapes, and it has always bugged me. It was the curlers and the woman screaming (I was a wimpy 4-5 year old girl, wasn't I?) I also have that Hi-C commercial on an old Beta tape (wow, I'm dating myself, aren't I?) 1987 was a good year for commercials.

Produced by Worlds Of Wonder (which made the Lazer Tag toy) in conjunction with Ruby-Spears. They also had a cartoon for their Teddy Ruxpin toy (animated by DIC).

That Lazer Tag Academy intro is incredible, indeed. Based on the episodes of the show that I managed to find on here, the series had inconsistent writing at best, and the heroes (Jamie in particular) came off as slightly aggressive. As for this video, congrats for reaching Vol. 500!

10:06 - they really angered me when then changed lime for sour green apple- they have sour skittles, and that is where that flavor had damned well ought to be. I can no longer make the flavor combo 'berrylimor ', and this sickens me.

7:35 -This Pet Care segment is kind of evil. These dogs are being tortured (especially the one trapped in a hot car), and the Pound Puppies do jack-all to help them.

lol! Just want to say that I read your post almost every Saturday when watching the Pet Care segment on this video. I do agree, they should've helped them poor dogs out instead of telling us how to care for your pet.

19:02 - Okay, lemme get this straight: he yells at his friend for playing with matches, saying it's dangerous, but he suggests they instead "go see the creature that ate Ralph." Am I missing something? Assuming Ralph is another kid, wouldn't the creature be exceptionally more lethal than matches?

Ralph was a kid I went to school with, and his tragic death still haunts those of us who knew him. My dad was one of the detectives at the crime scene. He said that it looked like a bear had ripped him open. There are no bears, or forests, near here. To this day, they say the field where Ralph was found is tainted by the presence of something old, something evil, and something very angry. I don't like it here.

One To Grow On-bet he was a pain to deal with at school.. LazerTag Academy-at first i thought the concept would be similar to the commercials(i.e different teams of players facing off against each other..at least the Photon live-action series was truer to the game in a way)

These are really fun commercials to put on and watch through, but the only ones that concerned me in any reply capacity (aside from the fun fruit trees, those are their own weird... thing) were the ones from McDonald's and how they seemed to target kids. Now a LOT of commercials obviously target kids, but McDonald's is just so unhealthy that I can't help but feel wrong, especially when they were doing the morning exercise one cause it seems so damn hypocritical! Granted some where nicer to watch than others but it still really peeves me especially when looking at US health statistics. I honestly love the toy commercials though.

It's possible for kids to eat McDonald's every now and then and not become morbidly obese. It's this extreme, over-reactive way of thinking that makes the modern world feel like such a drag.
