I had an "The Animalympics" lunchbox! Don't recall ever seeing the cartoon tie-in and I disliked carrying that lunchbox for that exact reason! My dear departed aunt drove a Chevy Chevette -- I had lots and lots of good times in that car with her and the whole gang of cousins I grew up with.

there's only one thing i can think of when i think of that car, now i'm a 90's kid, but thanks to reruns of this, i still think of this! Now, look behind those doors, wouldn't it be exciting if you could win that!!!! a new caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!!!!

I had a 12" wind-up Twiki when I was little. Might still have it somewhere... I remember the malls having Phone Center Stores. This is back in the days when you still had to get your phone from the phone company instead of going to a K-Mart or a drug store to buy a cheap phone. That's Nancy Dussault in the Coast commercial, before she became Ted Knight's wife on "Too Close for Comfort."

After reading your comment, I had to go back and watch the Coast commercial. I can't believe I missed that. It sure is Nancy. Good eye.

No wonder I don't remember Karl Malden as "Skag"- it only lasted six episodes.

It's probably not surprising that these commercials resemble the 70s commercials, but wow... Volkswagen called, Chevy, they want their Rabbit back! I never eat Fritos unless they're the Chili kind. It's weird seeing promos for Little House and CHiPs, I remember those!
@80sCommercialVault8 жыл бұрын
Every ad here (barring the promos) would have been made in 1979.

Buck Rogers-loved that show,shame that it jumped the shark in the second season when they turned it into a Star Trek clone Quincy-must've used the"going undercover in jail" trope Liittle House-aww the baby was killed in that house fire 8( BJ & The Bear-seemed like an emotional subplot in that episode :(
@BrotherHerbert8 жыл бұрын
I don't recall too much of that "Quincy" episode but it wasn't an undercover thing. He went in to investigate and had to convince the prisoners that he wasn't trying to double-cross them. I think it ended up being a cover-up involving the warden.

I always preferred Buck Rogers to Battlestar Galactica. BR had a sense of humor and the writing was much better.
