The 1991 Redskins are one of the most underrated great teams of all time. Had 3 shut outs and only had one real loss. Lost to emerging dynasty in Cowboys and other loss was playing backups in last game. They absolutely dominanted all three playoff games. Gibbs was such an awesome coach.

Even though kelly and the bills Oline where awful here so where the bills Dline and it was mostly due to massive difference in coaching the Redskins where miles ahead of the bills in coaching

#83 Andre "Fearless" Reed was and still is my all-time favorite over the middle WR 1:17:37 Reed found out exactly what I had spent the most of the 80's and 90's whining about... The NFC ch-East-ats teams always had to cheat and buy off the officials to win championships and super bowls.

Thomas was known for missing the first two plays of Super Bowl XXVI because he was unable to find his helmet. There have been many stories regarding the helmet. To this day, Thomas still doesn’t know what happened to it. It was eventually found and he was able to get back in the game, although finding the helmet may have been the highlight of that game for the Bills

The story that makes the most sense is that a member of Harry Connick Jr’s band moved it right before the opening ceremonies and didn’t tell anyone.

If Washington can do this to a Bills team with future HOF'ers, god only knows what they would have done to Denver. Remember, Treadwell missed 3 FG's in the AFC-CG and Elway had to leave the game. Elway might not have been 100 percent for SB 26. And considering we already saw what happened with these teams a few years earlier...........

My clearest memory of this SB was the In Living Color sketch aired on Fox at halftime. Jim Carrey played a fan walking in the background of a Redskins coach interview who keeps trying to get attention...and it escalates quickly. I remember it being funny. This was still the era where halftime shows were mostly marching bands.
@SortaNonymous5 ай бұрын
That's probably what many others remember most from that night as several people just turned it to In Living Color for the rest of the evening, both because Washington was already running away with the game itself and also because the halftime show was really lame.

I will never forget being a very naive 13 year old boy thinking that Buffalo was going to win this game. Goodness, was I ever let down by the start of the 3rd quarter.
@bobabooey453713 күн бұрын
Nothing naive about thinking the Bills would win this game. They had a solid season, lost the year earlier, they were experienced in a SB and hungry to win after the loss....and a great team. More than reasonable to think they would or could win.

Funny over the holidays 2023. I watched the afc game 1990 where bill rekt duh raiders. Superbowl 25. Where they talked about the kicker not doing well over 40+ yards and he didn't. + Watch the snap holder in superbowl 25 was sketchy at best on those plays. Today bills just seemed to be slower and the plays not getting completed. Anyway the talker reported Bill need to get control of the offense line in the second quarter. Didn't. Than down 10-0 tried to hard to throw tough passes rather than just getting ONE first down to get out of the shadow of their goal post. Down 10-0 in the second quarter guess the game was about over? Guess the nfl game caught up to bill by superbowl 26? ~Brian

A shame we never once saw the real Bills show up for any of the 4 super bowls. First one, not too bad, was a great game till the end but even still.... the BIlls werent the same team they showed all season long. This game and the 2 vs Dallas.... not the Buffalo team we knew at all.

Really in first meeting with Dallas, Buffalo got their assessment spanked and they even lost Jim Kelly. The was Dallas Cowboys 52 Buffalo Bills 17, and the year later they lost as well. Cowboys 30 Bills 13. How did the Bills have chance against the Cowboys, when Cowboys defense dismantled the Bills offense two years in a row. The Bills even lost to the Giants 19-20. Why do you think the Bills name stands for boy I love losing Superbowls. Because they are the only NFL team in history to go to the superbowl and lose all 4 consecutively.
