When Dan Marino beat the bears he showed like Bob Griese and the 17-0 Miami dolphins he belonged in the pro Football Hall Of Fame under legendary Don Shula one of the greatest.

1985 Div Browns game , 37 rushes 251 yards , Mia , 19 - 92 yards , AFC Championship , Patriots , 59 - 255 yards , Mia , 13 - 68 yards , This was the pattern in every post season loss since 1978 .

Yep the Dolphins couldn't run and it cost them especially in the AFC Championship game where it was rainy and the field was tore up.

We had so much talent. But the team really needed Duper to fully take advantage of Marino's ability.

This was the Dolphins window where it closed after the AFC Championship. They really blew it in that game. They Dolphins had beaten the Pats 19 STRAIGHT YEARS In the Orange Bowl including the regular season game. THEN they laid an egg in that game. The Dolphin turnovers and the Patriots capitalizing on them. The Pats ran all over the Dolphins in that rainy game. This is where the Dolphins had NO running game. After 1985, the window closed for Dan Marino and the Dolphins. Yes, 1992 they had the Bills in the AFC Championship, but the Bills were a better team.
