A quick story. I was working the day the sweetest lady on the unit had her 100th birthday. Many friends and relatives showed up and brought all sorts of food. There were balloons and a huge sheet cake. They had music and dancing and Rose in her wheelchair smiled from ear to ear. The family stayed last and there were many hugs and kisses as they left. I wheeled Rose from the big day room and she looked back at me and said, “Who were those people. They were very nice!” I couldn’t stop chuckling! Whether she knew them or not during the party she felt loved and had a good time! I loved being a nurse!!

She loves her Cane box and lemonade. In our family we don't have funerals we have (fun) orals after the memorial service we all go to the persons favorite place to eat and we have a going home party.hope people don't think we are morbid.but if I was in your mommas family you'd find me at raising cane's and drinking lemonade.love you all

Happy Birthday to your mom!! You are so patient and just downright caring to your mom. When so many children just leave their parents at these places and just forget about them like they never existed they're doing awesomely taking care of your mom like she took care of you!!

I hope to be 80 some day and be as cute as your momma! ( I'm 66😊) My mom passed at 84 ❤ after Alzheimers, then a stroke. Then 5 months in a nursing home. She behaved so much like your momma.😢 Best to you all.

If I get 80 I'm eating whatever I want as long as I can. One of the few pleasures left in life is after a certain age is eating. She's high on chocolate😂

Just a suggestion.maybe you could have her Name put on her clothes across the front of her shirts 👕 and down the pants leg 👖
