Your skin oils will affect how your ink flows on your yupo. I'm thinking that might've been why the petals didn't blow more roundly.

Gorgeous! Are you actually holding the airbrush in the opposite direction to which you’re blowing the flower ? It looks that way and seems to give more control. I will have to try this. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for sharing your alcohol ink journey. I have some inks but really couldn't find tutorials for beginners. I tried this on a ceramic tile. My inks blew every where. 😁. I'm guessing it's too smooth of a surface? Does the paper you're using have a smooth finish? Thank you again!

Hello, thank you! Yes, yupo paper is similar to photo paper. Maybe your paintbrush blows to hard? I try to blow the opposite way of the way I want the petal to go and then just move my hand foreword very slow and blow toward the center of the flower. I hope this makes sense?
