I love your animals on the property the sheep are so lovely and the little lamb is settling in very nicely with the oldies. Interesting about the stepping stones and the book you were reading Katie about the old maps, very interesting. Scott I love your laugh. Have a lovely day.

Having never cleaned gutters, I was surprised to see you work so hard. As you said, they weren't cleaned out for years. You are amazing. Great job saving the frame of your great grandmother's photograph. She was lovely and looks like she was a strong lady, and I think you do favor her. I enjoyed seeing the sheep at their dinner. They are so cute, and Shona was a hoot.😂 Thank you!❤

From High in the Rockies, Thank you, thank you, thank you for the WD40 tip! We have a very good well here but the water is hard so our sinks, shower & tub are hard to keep clean. I tried cleaning them with WD40 and they are sparkling. Game changer. I also tried your sauerkraut. A friend sent me a fermenting kit thinking it would work for kombucha. Well, it doesn't but for sauerkraut it's terrific. Your videos with your new camera are phenomenal. I agree with Scott, they look 3D. Your island is even more beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the castle tour. It was almost like being there. As always, thank you for sharing. Scratches to the sheep and kitties. Shauna (sp?) is growing so fast.

I had a stone walkway that got to the point I was tripping on it. I prayed up each stone and put dry redi mix cement down in a light layer, so they were all level. Hose it down. Done. You can put bag dirt down first to raise the walkway then put cement down. Works great

I’d add that you should put paper on the back and seal it with paper tape, at least that’s what my did used to do and he was an artist. The reason is that it allows the image to ‘breath’ but stops any contamination, damp getting into the image and degrading it. Have a word with a gallery or expert who can advise you the best way to do it.

What a fantastic video Katie and Scott. Loved every moment of it. Hasn't Shona grown so very quickly? She has definitely landed on her little hooves living there with you and Brie and Crowdie and cats. How are Brie and Crowdie taking to her? They really look like they are not bothered by her presence at all ..which is a good thing. Katie you are a lovely story teller and I enjoy hearing about the history of the Island and yes I do think there is some similarity between your great grandmother and yourself. Thanks for the adventures.

The beautiful portrait and showing the restoration of it. Late Gran will be proud of you both and little shona totally beyond cute... Beautiful filming love it amazing history and wildlife flowers. This weather is perfect for getting out on those walks and i bet you can't wait to wash n spin all that wool. You need wine n friends around n make an evening of it. You may have to wash n dry twice n it will come out so beautiful fluffy n white i often collect it on country walks here in Gloucestershire.... If you use a touch of washing up liquid and hot water it removes the lanolin and mud... Definitely keep thier fleeces and make something katy only if you have time. You could make sooo many jumpers and winter mittens from them.

Glad you got the quads brakes done, squealy brakes are usually not a good sign. I feel the same way about cutting down live trees, even though i live in a 1910 wood house, I mourn for the trees and the birds and other wildlife In them. The Shepard's hook was a perfect tool for you to use! Good thinking. You remind me so much of my mother, she would just get it done too. In the 60s and 70s, I remember her fixing our gas furnace one freezing winter night, our washing machine, redoing our oak floors with a giant sander, etc. She would just do it because it had to be done with what we had. Dad wasn't handy when it came to anything like that and he wouldn't pay someone to do it so she just did it herself, with a bit of Scottish pride and determination. ♡

Oops my mistake “Carneva’le”but the A has a comma over it. It’s done by HBO. In 2003. 2 seasons. Depicting a carnival travelling during the depression era in America. It’s odd with supernatural twists in it & its VERY good. Another good series, cut short…..& we absolutely love watching your channel. We’re in outback Queensland Australia (Booubyjan) on one of the oldest farms in Australia-1843 by the lawless family, who still own the original homestead up the road. Isn’t history interesting?

As crabs grow, they shed their old exoskeleton. So your "dead baby crabs" are more likely to just be evidence of lots of growing baby crabs, who are all now slightly bigger!

Shona is so adorable. Question: Is her food bowl too low to eat from comfortably and thus, lie down? Some cats and dogs can asperate their food if their throat is below a certain point. I had to get a taller bowl and stand for my cat because she's a bit tall. No criticism here, just a question.

I'm assuming that the stone path was replaced with pavers because of accessibility. The stone path is more of a trip hazard for those who have mobility concerns. It's probably the reason why the path level was raised to meet the doorway too.

There is a product for paving stones which consists of a sand and a dry polymer. You brush it into the gaps, pack it , and then wet it. It gets hard and resists washing and plants growing through it. It comes in several colors. Might be a less maintenance alternative as compared to a living option.
