At the end, when Dale shared his gratitude for all the support he received, I felt that. You can tell there is a lot of love among you guys. I eventually hope to meet you all one day.

@UnitarianChristianAlliance I'm not on Facebook, it's not my thing. However I was on the UCA website 10 minutes ago trying to join, but something seems wrong because It won't give me the option to agree to the Private Policy!

@UnitarianChristianAlliance Ok, please let me know if I can help troubleshoot. I can send you a screenshot of the website so you can see the problem. Bit it won't let me proceed past step 1 of 5 in the Private Policy with no on-screen option to select "I have read and agree to the Private Policy"

Talking to our webmaster, he says on some phones the scale on that window can be such that the checkbox isn’t visible. Maybe change the zoom on your browser, or potentially try using a pc. The webmaster is gonna try to fix permanently too, thanks for the heads up!

I would love to continue the dialog. Your interest and questions were admirable, and, even if we disagree, we can still seek a deeper understanding. This is the 3rd time I've responded to your question. It keeps being eaten by the KZbin machinery. No idea why. In the show notes above is an email you can use to reach out. Here's hoping this one shows up! Thanks again.

Theology aside. Based on behavior alone, Dr. Tuggy shines through as Christian, while James White does not. I think that is an aspect of these debates that should not be overlooked.

I'm a biblical Unitarian and appreciate the opportunity for others to hear from the other side and realize that to look at scripture and let it explain itself, one God and his Messiah Son and Trinity is a lie, but not to bible beat someone else to be a biblical Unitarian but to be honest with the truth to a trinitarian is sometimes difficult and most times they are not willing to talk but dictate and they don't know how to hear other side, but praying for biblical Unitarians and others is important
@UCAPodcastHost4 ай бұрын
Thanks for your note. I agree about being honest, and about being willing to hear. The internet seems to be making us less able to do that. Things come at us too fast and discourage reflection. Great input. - Mark

If the refs make a bad call in a game, and you lose because of it. It doesn’t remove the loss from your column
@JoeyBaguez4 ай бұрын
I’ve come to the conclusion that arguing with people about this stuff with mainline Christians produces very little fruit. Either you appear to be a heretic or you are mean spirited as people have said about Dale Tuggy during his debate with William Lane Craig (I wish he had represented himself more graciously), or you just end up in feedback loops, talking past each other. It doesn’t really matter how you try, it’s just a tough hill to climb. It gets tiresome and frustrating. Life is short and you need to find your place in the world and make it. Nobody really knows anything absolutely. We try to get it right but none of us are inspired.
@wrkndude110 ай бұрын
You are all making great points but you sound like whiners. Of course the other side doesn’t play by the rules. Technically winning is not winning when you fail to persuade anyone
@markcain155010 ай бұрын
I get that. I actually thought hard about that, considering more edits to remove some of it. But, I felt the best way to experience it was to also be transparent with what we were honestly thinking the next day. Thus, I left it there. I highly doubt anyone was persuaded either way. Thus, it would be no winners for either. But we weren't measuring it by "people who walked out of the debate that changed their mind." We are measuring it by the quality of the information presented, the spirit by which it was presented, and then by the long-term value it provides the Christian community. Thanks for listening, and I appreciate the feedback.
@brandonduke211410 ай бұрын
The “other side” often does play by the rules, take honest debaters like William Lane Craig as an example. “Winning” a debate is about making the ideas clear to an audience, it’s an act of service. So the audience can assess the info and come to their own conclusions. And when one participant doesn’t engage in a way that contributes to that, it is a disservice to that audience. The analogy isn’t a bad call by a ref, it’s another team ignoring the rules. When that happens, the audience doesn’t get to see what would happen when Bird and Jordan go head to head. If Bird uses a taser on Jordan while he’s playing defense, it’s not a competitive basketball game anymore, it’s an assault.
@wrkndude110 ай бұрын
@@markcain1550 I appreciate and understand your answer. I believe that these kind of debates aren’t friendly exchanges but more akin to battles in spiritual warfare. The arguments of white were dishonest and salacious to say the least. It’s my opinion that he behaved that way to keep the lie alive. I love and respect all of you guys and what you are doing. It pains me that you would have to seemingly be on defense about this issue
