How on earth is Dr. White saying that, in 1 Corinthians 8:6, the term kurios is being used as a replacement for YHWH? If that's true, then 1 Corinthians 8:6 should read "One God the Father...and one YHWH Jesus Christ"? How on earth does that make any sense at all? No, Paul is continuing the Jewish confession of only one God, but is making the additional confession of Jesus as Lord or Master, which is the position that God raised Jesus to (Acts 2:36, Philippians 2:11). It boggles my mind how Dr. White can have that position.

"By the word of God" doesn't say he is a creator but a programmer. He only influences how things are going to come about. With his Divine Council, he controls earth and heaven. The gods of his divine council are the ones that control the world. This came about at the time of Babble. This control ended with Christ's death on the cross. They will be judged in the end times. This is what hell was made for and not humans. We, humans, tolerated Old Testament teaching with the genocide of humans and animals. The destruction of large cities. The God of the Old Testament is a commanding God. Not anything like today's God. We worship Jesus and his father in heaven. His father could be called El or El-Elyon and not Yawha. Yawha is one of the council members and will go through judgment at the end days. Man's soul is mortal and will die in hell. The angel's soul is immortal and will suffer for eternity. It says that man can kill your body but only God can kill your soul. Angels are divine beings and not even God can kill their souls.

Every legitimate Church on the planet whether Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant, believes in the trinity. Are we to believe that the gates of hell have indeed prevailed against the church? You are living in rebellion and have made yourselves your own authority, doing what is right in your own eyes. Repent of your lawlessness and come home.

Dale Tuggy, forget what people say, including what you say. We have to go by what the Biblical Greek says. The word, "WITH" It demonstrates a relationship between two or more persons simultaneously existing, it also means Face to Face alongside God. The meaning of WAS, is, Eternally. So Jn 1: 1. The Word WAS, (Eternally) WITH, (Face to Face alongside God) 1st person, and the Word was God, 2nd person. V2. HE, (personal pronoun) WAS, (Eternally) in the beginning WITH, (Face to Face alongside God). V3. All things were created by HIM, (personal pronoun). These scriptures prove TWO distinct persons. God was and isn't Face to Face with Himself.

I feel so bad for Unitarians. Not only are they confused on how to interpret scripture, but they have no ultimate hope. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, that we may have eternal life. The only way to be the sacrifice is living a perfect sinless life, and the only way to do that is being God in the flesh… so not sure where Unitarians find saving faith from their sins…

"A fully divine person cannot die" and the unitarians in the comments are saying that us (trinitarians) can't think straight? Because for you to say that Jesus, as a truly divine person, cannot die, you have to ignore that we believe that he is also truly human. So Jesus has two distintics natures that don't mix, so there's no problem in Jesus' human nature die because we don't claim that His divinity died. Your objection got debunked by basic orthodox christian theology, so thank you. 😂

An immortal person having a nature that dies doesn’t mean the immortal person died. Persons die, not natures. The point is that the communication of idioms is not helpful, and just accepts the contradictions within two natures christology rather than explaining them.
@kalashi6305
@kalashi6305 3 күн бұрын
@@UnitarianChristianAlliance you are just juggling, there is no contradiction, and since Jesus is a personhood composed of two natures, you can say that Jesus is man and died, and that He is immortal God. For in the end you are referring to Jesus regarding His natures. Btw we don't believe that natures are without personhood, so Jesus dying regarding His humanity remains not a contradiction, and my point still stands.

God cannot be Jesus' "biological father". Mary's genealogy is disputed and unclear. And, according to 2 Kings 11:1-3, only the males are considered Royal Seed. Jesus' natural father would have to be of the male royal bloodline. At best, if God is the "father" then Jesus is the stepson of the son of David and not the fruit of David's loins (Act 2:30).

Brethren, I write to you concerning the nature of our Lord Jesus Christ and the worship we offer as Christians. It has been said that Jesus worshipped God His Father, and so some question our worship of the Holy Trinity. Allow me to clarify these matters with the wisdom granted by the Spirit. Firstly, let us acknowledge that Jesus, in His earthly ministry, did indeed worship and pray to God the Father. As it is written, "Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed" (Luke 5:16). This exemplifies His perfect humanity and His role as the Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). However, let us not forget the fullness of the mystery revealed to us: "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form" (Colossians 2:9). Though He walked among us as a man, Jesus is also fully God. The Word, which was with God and was God, became flesh (John 1:1, 14). Thus, Jesus embodies both divine and human natures, united in one Person. Our worship of the Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - arises from the revelation given by Jesus Himself. He commanded us to baptize "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19), indicating the unity and co-equality of the three Persons of the Godhead. Furthermore, Jesus declared, "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30), affirming His divine nature and oneness with God the Father. When we worship the Trinity, we do not separate our Lord Jesus from this divine unity. Rather, we honor the revelation of God's nature as three distinct Persons sharing one essence. The Holy Spirit, whom the Father sends in Jesus’ name, testifies to this truth and guides us into all truth (John 14:26, 16:13). Therefore, let us hold firmly to the faith delivered to the saints, recognizing the fullness of God’s revelation in Christ. We worship the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, not as separate gods, but as one God in three Persons. This is the mystery of our faith and the foundation of our hope. Grace and peace be with you all.

I respect your opinion but disagree. I read Scripture saying that God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit are one God in three persons. I don’t understand it with my finite human fallen mind. I believe it is apprehended by faith. Scripture teaches that Jesus was in the godhead since before creation. He intentionally limited Himself to human form to accomplish salvation by dying on the cross and then be raised from the dead. Because the godhead is God, humble, and loving (other-centered), the Persons of the godhead would defer to the other two Persons. So Jesus humbly submitted to His Father to accomplish the work of salvation so that we could be with God in and for eternity. Since there has never been a perfect person apart from Jesus, He as God was necessary to be a perfect unblemished sacrifice to die an atoning death to save His people. No other person could qualify to satisfy God’s justice. His justice and love intersect with Jesus on the cross. A miracle! Blessings to you. Jesus is Lord!
